Puck Preps lists Schneider as the 12th best American player and 8th best forward born in 2009. They have Fitzhenry at 28. They list Schneider as the second best Minnesotan behind Max Dessner. Have no clue how accurate or inaccurate that is, but some added context.

Well for Fitzhenry it's wildly inaccurate.

Yes, Fitzhenry and Pelosi are the class of this age group at this point. Its by more than a hair. I would refer to @Oak on this as he seems pretty involved in the 09 loop. But dont get him started on puckprep rankings!

Well for me I would place Schneider right up there with both of those two. I'm not a big fan of PuckPreps either but perhaps we shouldn't get @Oak going .....

Based on when they announced the selection camp information last year, I would expect the announcement this Wednesday, Mar. 12, with the camp taking place Mar. 18-22.

I got to see the Freshman trio at Rivers (Meyer, Sears, Pandolfo) in what will almost certainly be their last Prep School game. Rivers got dominated by Dexter in the Elite 8 Semi-Finals, but it was still really cool to see them one last time. For you BU fans, you're going to be in for a treat down the line. Between the 3 of them and Rian Chudzinski of Dexter, there was a lot of future BU talent on the ice. Chudzinski might be the most talented player in Prep outside of the Rivers trio.

I was only talking about invites. There was 1 player who turned down the invite. Again, its unknown if someone like Daley already informed USAH well in advance that he had no interest and an offer was never extended. I did find it odd that he didn’t show up to the festival over the summer and it could have started there.

WHC17 isn't an IIHF tournament, so it's basically up to Canada, but they generally wouldn't invite a kid to play on their team who wouldn't be IIHF eligible for Canada.

Only theory I have is they had their “Plan A” Camp Roster set & then 3-5 guys turned em down with plans to go to the CHL, so they’ve had to scramble and come up with their Plan B or Plan C rosters.

But they typically select Ike 40 kids. If a few opt out then no big deal, invite a few more. Done. It's just a camp, not final selections.

I'm happy that Mount is well represented. I thought either Yakub or Berard would earn an invite but they do have 5 other kids on the list.

I'm glad Daley and Milojevic are on the list. Didn't folks hypothesize one or both weren't attending?

Glad Roscoe made it out of SSM. Love his game.

Such a strong MN contingent. I'm excited to watch Geiger and Schneider live.
