No playoffs no Hart.woulda had celibrini but all g
The 3rd and 4th place is probably pretty close anyways. People put too much weight on being a finalist.well yeah it's weird Celebrini was ahead of MacKinnon in the other one unless all the Canadian guys were just mad at MacK for missing that olympic goal
MacK with 53 goals, 127 points, engine of the top team in league which has a huge dropoff from their 1st to 2nd line. Marty Necas had 47 less points two years ago and now he's playing with MacK and gets 100. He's the right finalist there for sure. Celebrini powerful aura but he just got his team to 11th in the West, not even playoffs. No way he should be ahead on objective factors. The 3rd and 4th place is probably pretty close anyways. People put too much weight on being a finalist.
so what? its a regular season award FYI, and a broken foot usually does that....2 of the 3 didn't show up for the playoffs.
I dont trust players to make good and objective voting, they probably watch A LOT less games the JournalistsNice to know Celebrini’s peers (Ted Lindsay voting)have more sense than the journalists
I do when it fits my narrative lolI dont trust players to make good and objective voting, they probably watch A LOT less games the Journalists
At the end of the day the difference between 3rd and 4th is so slime. People take too much weight in this "nomination" thing.I do when it fits my narrative lol
Again compare to mackinnon second place and third place teammate in points and compare to mcdavid and kucherov what would be considered most valuable in those terms?I think it comes down to MacKinnon and McDavid.
Kucherov's 3 more points don't outweigh MacKinnons 53 goals. McDavid had a respectable 11 more points than MacKinnon, but when you look at where the 2 teams finished in the standings I'm not sure how MacKinnon doesn't deserve this, especially when you look at like what he's done for a his linemates like Necas, like mentioned a few posts up. Under a PPG game player in Carolina, turned 100 point player in his first full season with MacKinnon/Avs.
But they've played against him, even if it was just a game, I imagine celebrini leaves a good impression.I dont trust players to make good and objective voting, they probably watch A LOT less games the Journalists
