Exactly, that and the year we got swept against NB. Really dampened my enthusiasm. As said though, some of us may be in walkers by the time the Wolves even win a third round again, let alone a championshipHope we are alive to see the Wolves win a Championship one day, especially the older die hards. Between the Wolves and Leafs I’m not sure which is worse! Wolves needed to capitalize two years ago (the Dvorsky year). That was a window some people really don’t fully understand how bad was squandered. That window we may never see again for a very very long time.

Im still extremely bitter about it. What has happened since is really sucking what life i have left in this team out of me. Easier to just change the channel than to cross the field of crackheads to go home.Hope we are alive to see the Wolves win a Championship one day, especially the older die hards. Unfortunately Zulich doesn’t share your thoughts, he is more interested in other projects and has full faith in his GM steering the ship going forward.Im still extremely bitter about it. Wish Papineau was all over this. Wolves are going to suck, but they could have sucked with a 7 foot d-man in the lineup, that would be more fun atleast.

Literally insane that’s still the focus. If everyone thinks this year is bad, just wait. It’s like Papineau is a 6 year old kid playing franchise mode in NHL video gamesIt's obvious the team needs a rebuild, but the focus is on squeezing into the playoffs.
Wolves have no other option but to sell everything not nailed to the dressing room floor. The goal should be securing the first pick overall…and playing the kids post trade deadline. Nothing else. Failure to move Villy, Walton, Gonchar, Coughlan and any other valuable asset will kill the franchise for the next 4 years. Not trading Musty was bad enough…Literally insane that’s still the focus. 100% agree, it’s part of the cycle for every team and between Villy and Walton you guys could get really good return. 2010 might be a decent draft class too.Wolves have no other option but to sell everything not nailed to the dressing room floor. I would rather Wilson who has played in close to 50 OHL games over an import that hasn’t been proven and takes up one of three import spots. I would rather an import to come in and be a difference maker IMO.If you wanted size and untapped potential in the lineup you could have signed this kid off the street. Instead you trade a 13th for a 6 foot 6 Dman that both north bay and sag decided wasnt any good already. Make it make sense wolf nation

Plus he has a hard time skating..Wilson has proven in those 50 games that he isn't OHL caliber north bay passed on him as a 3rd rounder and sag saw enough in 2 games to say no thanks...plus no difference making import is showing up this year, sorry.... Plus we are trading Gonchar I suspect so we will have at least 2 openings still this year....Plus we have a decent challenge attracting imports and if Karmanov turns out to be good and stays that is at least one in the bank for next year...plus he's 17...plus he's 7 feet tall and would sell some tickets for Dario...plus...ah nevermind. It's moot anyway.

I wish him all the best….Re: Karmanov. I don't know what North Bay sees here. I saw him all through Bulldogs camp and the best thing I had to say was, "he isn't as bad as I thought he was going to be.
His skating and hockey IQ are not good. I saw him multiple times in the GOHL. If he leaves the front of the net to get a puck in the corner, he simply can not get back to position in time.
He has to stick handle constantly looking down. He has never had to worry about being hit because of his size.
However, you can't teach big and I do think he has shown consideral improvement as the year has gone on.
I hope the kid makes me look stupid, but imo if he was 6 inches shorter no one would be close to interested.
be funny if we get Protz back in return. lolPer sources: there are rumours that Villeneuve could be traded to Brantford, with a deal reportedly in the works. It remains to be seen whether it will go through.
Brantford is not giving up one of their top pairing d-men as fun as that would be.be funny if we get Protz back in return. lol
I imagine Soo Kid Rossetto who has been injured most of the year and is a desperately needed right shot would be part plus picks. He played with Blonda all the way up. He had a good season as a rookie last year. Undersized but you can't have it all. Northern kid, shown He can score, right side, ok. Now give us our picks back and that might be what you can get based on the Luchanko deal.Brantford is not giving up one of their top pairing d-men as fun as that would be.

Tall enough that the goalies can actually see under him at this pointyou want big bodies to screen our goalies?![]()
