Drury’s asleep.

It does make me wonder. Of the guys at our development camp---Hughes and Di Marisco sign with other teams. Wiebusch and Cleaves decide to go another year. Other college free agents going all over the place. Maybe the Rangers weren't high enough on most of them still........

Maybe even Pinchuk doesn't turn out to be much. I guess we're going to see next year on a lot of these guys.....whether they make their NHL teams and make some noise or not. Discussions over the years about New York City as a prime destination but a team still carries a reputation and I'm not sure ours is that great.

Rangers have 34 guys with contracts right now + RFA's Schneider, Iorio, Berard, Brisson, Morrow, Ollas, Garand, Boyko---2 or 3 of them might not be renewed. The UFA guys--Sheary, Brodzinski, Fix-Wolansky, Fitzgerald, Mackey, Scanlin. The Rangers could have added a couple UDFA's no problem IMO and still have spots for several UFA's come July. I imagine they will sign some even if they're not top 6 F's or top 4D's. It wouldn't shock me at all if Sheary and/or Brodzinski return.

If Sheary signs anything less than a 7 year extension this season's losses will have been in vain 😠
I think the last couple years will be bad but that’s the nature of the business. Gotta cough up to get the player. There will be a lot of teams offering him seven though. Do the rangers offer eight?

I think 7 years is enough since he is Sullys first born. Besides we may get tired of talking about him by 2032.

The length of the Sheary extension depends entirely on if we're going to just give him an 'A', or slap the 'C' on him. I know he's a rare talent, but if we aren't going to put him in the proper position to lead, then I don't think I can get behind any more than 5 years.

edit - Just realized this was the prospect thread. My bad.

Now that Connor Sheary is in the organization Drury knows he can’t make any more mistakes in the draft otherwise he’ll be back in the kitchen tossing dough in the air.
