Ive been saying it since we got eliminated, JBB has to have a home run of an offseason. Everybody has gotten better on the ice and Florida is already loading up again. The pressure is on for Tampa.

Hes got until July 3rd until my stock in him keeping us at the top drops significantly. I have viewed JBB as being a GM that "sees what we see" because he has eyes and is trying to make significant moves that make sense, but if he cant land a top 4 D, a top 6 C/RW this summer, then hes pretty much willing to ice an 82 game team and not a contender.

You cant look at the way this group played and think they are legitimately a serious contender. From Coop to the 13th forward, whatever this was, was not it. Running it back and "giving guys opportunities" is not the play. Im holding out hope between the draft and FA that he does something significant. If not, im going to be disappointed in him. I can look past the Jeannot and Bjork trades cause he actively tried, but if hes laissez Faire this summer while the Atlantic is an absolute blood bath, I dont know. Doesnt sit well with me.

Even funnier that Florida uses our 1st rd pick to acquire a forward that will torment this team for the next 10 years. What a kick in the balls.

I find it odd that Ottawa wouldn’t prefer Samoskevich. Fits their timeline and is likely better than whatever they get with that pick. Unless they have something lined up with a team that prefers the pick

What pisses me off the most is that said move make us instantly less attractive than we were before by comparison to our state rival.
The pressure now truly is on JBB. Time to show he's got some magic left in him or we'll start being on even less players lists.
Wilson would be a godly add at this point, some beef + skill mix is much needed.
