Maybe the goalie coach can work his magic like he did with Vaccari. But giving up a 3rd is way too much 😂😂

I think it was definitely worth the risk as there is a fairly high probability that the firebirds stole a 6’8” goalie.

They turned vaccari into one of the leagues best. Bennett has shown flashes of potential I wouldn’t be surprised to see a solid 0.910 sv% there
This is so funny! After game 4 in Owen Sound we seen Trenton at a restaurant and my wife got her picture taken with him. Told him thanks and we will see him in Flint next year…..guess I need to to start picking my lottery numbers

Has anyone from Flint heard about this trade? It's not on either team's social media or the Media Notes section but it's listed in the June Trade Window article on the website.

Well Savard we did give that 15th round pick for him however they tossed in 3 more better picks as well. Your crystal ball is glitching

Did the firebirds have a lot of returning forwards this year? The Bulldogs need forwards but curious as to why Firebirds would give him up
Losing a lot. It feels like the biggest need for them at the moment is up front.

Absolutely have to be losing Apsy and He.

Darian Anderson possible OA - college commit
Alex Kostov possible OA - college commit
Jacob Battaglia is signed.

Jimmy Lombardi is the biggest returning piece up front.

That's 5 of your 6 top, probably moving on.
I think most of us thought they would sell Lombardi and be in rebuild mode.

But now, I think they are trying to position themselves for another run at things for some reason.

Still a lot of off season, but feels like a team battling for 6th place right now.

So I’m curious as a Bulldogs fan why the trade of Lappalainen if you the Firebirds have many holes at forward and he’s only 17? In Brantford we did a similar trade of Christie who is also 17 who could be a very good D but we have no spots with some returning D and free agent signings. Did Brantford over pay or maybe there’s behind the scenes stuff where he wanted a different opportunity?
