Lane showed alot defensively which I believe everyone should be happy with. He also was relied upon to play some massive minutes.

Sand deep pelican didn't impress me more than that mobile yes but what else distinguishes him from others.

For the record books, Lane ended up playing 27:20
His D partner Chelsey played 25:16.
Nobody else on the USA team played more than 19 mins. Lane played 8 mins more than anyone else on the team other than Chelsey. THAT is a performance.

You will never see me rooting for a Team USA anything no matter who is on their roster it's burned into my DNA.

Great team. And I certainly won’t say there aren’t other Nationalities that do it. But as a group they seem to do this a lot.
I was laughing out loud when he missed the easy tip off the edge of the crease thinking he'd fit in great with our forward group.
Then he scored that pure effort goal and reminded me why I was hoping he was our guy.

Tough to fault them for their behaviour, they are still only kids. They’ll grow up at some point.
I think the Russians were just as sore winners as the Americans we just forget about that,how could I forget the empty net goal celebration in the early 2000s.
We don't have to look much further than their women's hockey team and their tromping on our flag.
Olympics or World's I can't remember but guess what they didn't win that year.

That was debunked. Just saw it in a documentary. The American girls were really upset with that rumour and rightly so. But the Canadians didn’t know it at the time.
