How did you play a hurt Kicker who blows the game. Who made that call?
Impossible to know. Given how cautious they've been with other injuries, I highly doubt they 'rushed him back' particularly since Zane Gonzalez was perfect on the year.

It could be one of those things where he passed medically but just wasn't quite ready for whatever reason. We've seen 100% healthy kickers get injured during warmups.

He also drilled a 51yrd FG. It could have gotten worse over the course of the game

Seibert has felt like a paper tiger to me all year. His hit percentage was insanely good, but most of those kicks were cupcakes. He clearly doesn't have a big leg, absolutely struggles at 45+. And you can tell, because on at least 4 of his "long" misses, he was so wound up about kicking it far that he either completely botched it trajectory-wise (stupid low or instantly crazy-wide) or f***ed up and kicked the turf more than the ball.

Our offense was gifting him makeable kicks, in other words. And look, a guy that delivers near perfectly on the ones he should make is a good kicker to have. Not great if he's 50/50 or worse from 45+, but you can live with that.

Problem is, while we have the punter to pin the opposing offense inside the 10 on the regular if you have to punt instead of try a 52-yarder, we've lacked the D to keep anyone pinned anywhere, so all we really accomplish from that a lot of the time is just making it take longer for their O to get points.

So I'm with @Kazer. Zane Gonzalez was immediately every bit the kicker Seibert was. Not sure why there'd be a rush to get Seibert back. Small sample for sure, but for me it's like having a decent starting keeper in the NHL that hasn't quite convinced you he's a real #1, and being willing to ride a hot backup to see if he can win it. If there were questions about Seibert *at all* I would have kept Gonzo in there. Every bit the kicker, fun nickname.

I’m sure it’s all the Bears managements fault. Right @CapitalsCupReality ?

Eberflus SUCKS BALLS.

I do agree, 100%, that management is cheap as hell and won’t fire a coach too early. That’s on them.

But this team has talent. Caleb will be really good, IMO.

Eberdoof sucks! And who hired him and who now has kept him too long?!! 😏

CW just needs to be coachable….give the kid a credible staff to build around him and he’ll do well.

Hmmm, no doubt about it, legit number 1 receiver Lamb dropping 3 passes in the first half. I thought only unworthy, depth guys dropped passes… ;)

Tough to catch ducks from a bum named Cooper!! ;)

Besides, you know nobody said what you posted. Nobody EVER said here top WRs don’t drop balls…..have another drink!

Edit: confirmed Lamb out and had/has a shoulder injury…..so much for your theories…

Is there really any truth to them bringing the old logo back? Can’t tell if this is just click bait “verified” Twitter users or what.

Would like to state for the record that I named CHI as a likely job opening/KK caller before the Bears turned to complete shit.

(My rationale at the time: Matt Eberflus sucks shit.)

Delusional…

When asked postgame how the Bears should have managed the final sequence in retrospect, Eberflus doubled down on the team's late-game operation.

"I like what we did there," Eberflus said.

"To me it's -- I think we handled it the right way, I do believe that you just rerack the play, get it in bounds and call timeout, and that's why we held it and didn't work out the way we wanted it to."

Can the Chicago Bears just, like... set the entire rest of their season to the Benny Hill music?
