Yesterday there was a perfect example of how memory can fail, get slanted, with the passage of time.

Early 4th I believe a graphic was shown, passing/rushing yards for a QB in first 4 or 5 games. JD has MOAR rushing yds than rgme over same time span. If I was challenged to a bet on who had more, I would have said rgme 101 times out of 100.

It seemed, my memory said, griffin was pulling it down and running every other play from the opening bell.

Not sure. How much rope does half a billion dollars buy? We're all products of our actions. So when a guy goes to such great lengths to tell you what a colossal piece of shit he is, believe him. Or just shrug, decide that the entire gaggle of women were liars, give him a truly ridiculous amount of money, and associate your city with his glowing reputation.

When someone can point at you and say, "Hell, even Dan f***ing Snyder never did THAT," you've probably crossed a line.

True, and he's only been accused of sexually assaulting a couple of people, so he's downright classy by comparison. Cleveland's latest tourism ad: "Are you a thief and/or a very rapey dude? Come to beautiful, downtown Cleveland! We'll pay you millions to quarterback our NFL team! You don't even have to be good at it!"

But for Commanders fans that advice feels like...

Sounds like you have some axes to grind this AM, my man. Imma stay outta that, and give you a nice…… wide…… berth.

Reflections on a Monday:

- Jayden is making this look much easier than I expected him to, and much sooner

- This coaching staff has done a jaw-dropping job of turning this battleship in a teacup -- whether it's the OL exceeding expectations or the entire D getting its collective act together and playing with discipline and fire to minimize it's talent deficiencies, the spirit of this team is 180 degrees from where it was

- knock on wood, it seems like these guys are high-character, both on the field and off. They fight their asses off on the field, work their asses off off the field, and do and say the right things (Note to RR: drafting for character is no substitute for drafting guys with character AND talent)

- We're not going to go 16-1, and this week seems like a prime spot for a return to earth, but no matter the result -- or even the process -- I'm not going to freak out because this entire operation has earned my trust

Is this what it feels like to be... content?

Didn't his O-line basically not block for him? I'd have happy feet, too.

Here's what I know about the NFL after week 5:
1. The Chiefs are very good
2. The Panthers are extremely bad
That about covers it.

Oh, and the 49ers, Eagles and Bengals are squandering a lot of talent.
Are the Chiefs very good though? From my watching seems like they could just as easily be 0-4.
Not that it really matters as Mahomes will go supernova in the playoffs no matter what

This is what it felt like w Gibbs 1.0.

AND you knew we had better coaches (adjustments) than most everyone else.

Not there yet. But that was the feeling

They looked good enough tonight. Lot of injuries to fight through and they are still 5-0.
It's honestly pretty remarkable how the Chiefs have re-invented themselves. If it were not so annoying that we've gone straight from one dynasty into another, I would appreciate it more.

Chiefs in 2022 were an offensive machine #1 points for; #16 points against
Chiefs in 2023 were a defensive machine #15 points for; #2 points against
Chiefs in 2024, so far, are closer to 2023 #14 points for; #5 points against

They've gone from winning with offense to keeping it close with their elite defense and then finding a way to win at the end. This win against NO was their first win greater than one score, and it was a 3 point lead early in the 4th quarter.

They will definitely lose a couple games before the year is over, but Houston is probably the only team that can stop them from being the #1 seed in the AFC this year.

Strange to fire your coach 5 games into the season. Jets are 2-3, not 0-5.
The season was still salvageable....at least until they fired Saleh.
Bizarre.

Bizarre.

The 2 wins were vs TEN and NE, both of whom are 97% shit.

They've sucked for long enough. You watch them play and it's clear whatever momentum he had coming from SF as a defensive ass-kicker with unknown upside is basically gone.

Last year they lost Rodgers in WK1 and this year he's looking pretty trash. So maybe AR came back and just ran his mouth enough that ownership is like "we'd rather keep Rodgers and see if he can be MVP quality again than keep waiting for Salah."

What do you do if you're a Carolina fan? They've sucked ass since the new owner came in back in 2018.

ESPN proposing we trade w CIN for Higgins; our 3rd this year plus a conditional 3rd in 26.
Then we'd have pay him.
We've got the cap space, and he's the type of receiver we need -- big body, great deep threat, perfect complement to TML.
If its me, I do it. Speeds up the "recalibration" quite a bit, with a player who'll be a big piece before whoever we'd get in the 3rd next spring.
