AJ Brown worked over Lattimore hard in Game 2. Hopefully he steps up and they deploy him better too.
 
How bout that QB from LSU, huh? :cool: Tried telling all my Skins buddies he was the real deal and that we finally had our franchise QB. I figured we'e be this year's Texans, but was not expecting to go into Detroit and knock them off. Anything is possible with JD5 at this point. And so much cap space...the fun is just getting started. Would be incredible to knock off Philly and their annoying fans. Let's GEAUX!

plenty of people in the media pointed out that he had technical areas to improve on pre-draft, you just focused seemingly mostly on his nails and the other "me me" stuff you perceived. I think he can turn into a good player still if the Bears don't ruin him first. You think he's a bust?

Its too early to call him a bust, but I always thought his upside was always lower and his risk always higher than JD's was and those beliefs are set in concrete now. I don't think he'll bust like Jamarcus Russell, but I see his career maybe more like Jameis Winston or Kyler Murray, maybe David Carr or Trevor Lawrence. Guys who will be in the league for a long time because of their talent but will never put it all together and be great, like JD is.

For the record I talked equally about his accuracy under pressure, his poor performances in the big games, and his lack of pocket passing excellence as major issues for me. Can he still improve all those areas? Maybe, we'll see. JD doesn't really have to improve at this point. But he will.

Still not sure what to make of Caleb. Intriguing talent. But, many of the concerns about him (holds the ball too long, plays hero ball) remain. Outside of some 4th Q rallies, he didn’t show much improvement from his college game. The most worrying thing (if I was a Bears fan) was his accuracy issues this year. Bottom of the league in off target%, and couldn’t complete a pass > 20yds to save his life.

In any event, we’ll see how next year goes under BJ. Coaching issues aside, I guess he was more of a project than most realized.

My post was more in response to the second paragraph than the first. The statement that "Ben's gonna come back re-establish that professionalism and what it takes at this level," that struck me. It's not Quinn and KK that made Jayden a professional, he had that work ethic and bearing with him all the time. He is serious as hell about his job, while still having joy in doing it.

Perhaps it's also a function of the extra 2 years of seasoning, but I think it's fair to look back at his transfer to LSU -- to learn a moree professional offense and face much tougher competition -- as a foreshadowing of his dedication.

Caleb transfered, too, but it was to follow his coach. Competition wise it was lateral at best and maybe a step down.

I think Caleb could very well still reach his ceiling, but he's not as a good a bet to so so as Jayden is, in my opinion.

AJ Brown is on the sidelines reading self-help books, trying to figure things out. Hurts is one helmet to helmet away from the blue tent.

The PHI defense is pretty good in all areas but you have to handle that pass rush more than anything else. Make them pay for their aggression but be sure not to release too early on screens because refs have been calling illegal man downfield more than I've ever seen.

We're not going to beat them again with 5 turnovers. Protect the ball.

It may come down to kicks.
