Crazy to think this is the same Detroit where I used to get tickets for less money than my local OHL game.

I can totally see Rivera pushing all the buttons for Jerruh and manipulating him into some kind of "America's team restoration" thing. Used to work for Snyder, flag-waving military angle, etc.
Would be a perfect fit and ensure Dallas stay a middling to bad team for a few years.
Approve.
Spotrac: "Dak Prescott signed a 4 year , $240,000,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including $80,000,000 signing bonus, $231,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $60,000,000. In 2025, Prescott will earn a base salary of $47,750,000, while carrying a cap hit of $89,896,666 and a dead cap value of $151,887,647."Noooo way. I can’t believe ANY owner is dumb enough to hire RR as a HC.
I thought Ben Johnson canceled on us?

Any owner dumb enough to do that probably has RR on speed dial.

It’s just latest going rates for top guys…just wait and see what the rest of these QBs keep signing for…it’s into stupid territory.
That cap hit will most certainly be reworked for next year, and teams will keep pushing off the bill into the future…
I call skeptical on all this, but if true, there's several angles. One is, Ben Johnson is dumber than his play calling would indicate and isn't HC material at all. Two is, AP may have turned the plane around, but let it slip that Ben canceled the interview (which still may be true) so that it wouldn't slip out that A) we canceled on him and B) we ARE drafting a QB. Which would be brilliant media manipulation, if in fact true. Let BJ look like the douche for canceling on us, let the world think AP didn't get his guy, who cares. He didn't trash BJ when he could have, he took the high road instead and kept his draft plans under wraps, (even while Doug Williams was announcing the worst kept secret on Earth to the TV crews).
If this has any truth, it probably went down like this:
BJ: I want to run with Sam Howell
AP: We're drafting a QB at 2
BJ: Well then this isn't the team for me
AP: Fine, we'll agree to move on, hey pilot, turn this bitch around.
MaEdia hears that Ben canceled on us, but that's because we weren't handing him the GM keys also.
You said "top guys" but we're talking about Dak, who is just a "better than average" guy.
Statistically (and that’s what guys get paid on) simply hogwash…but I don’t want to get into some big debate on Dak. The overall rankings speak for themselves. Better than average can be top 10, which is probably just where he belongs. That’s a “top” QB in my book. Yours can differ.

That aside not even close to the same level of stupidity that hiring RR as a HC would be…he’s proven he can’t evaluate talent, can’t manage a game, and can’t keep track of if his team is in or out of the playoffs during the season…
Dak is almost as overrated as Cousins
Dak is almost as overrated as Cousins
And…?
Why are we talking about Ron, when we might be getting Coach Prime in Dallas.
An event some scriptures say will herald the end times.
Cousins got paid too, but it doesn't make their contracts smart ones.
I know trading Dak would incur some crazy dead cap hit, but just bear with me. The Broncos managed the same thing w/ Russ’s dead cap by drafting Nix.Man I would loooooove that side show.
The real problems would seem to be that he’s probably only going to go now to coach Shadeur (and the Cowboys already have a QB) and are probably too far back at 12 to be able to afford to trade up to be sure and draft him.
I just can’t see how Jerry and him would coexist and have success.

Imagine a world where the Cowboys trade Dak + some 1sts to move up to draft Shadeur.
Dak, YOU are a Cleveland Brown! (or Titan)
Now we’re cooking - Coach Prime + Jerry, father/son as coach/QB. I think the sports world would fold in on itself watching that circus in Big D.
Come on Jerruh, make it happen!

"To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it's intriguing," Sanders told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday night. "I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up and process it, and think about it, it's intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body and the community."
"I'm happy where I am, man," Sanders said. "I've got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is? ... That means I'm resting. I'm good, I'm happy, I'm excited. I'm enthusiastic about where I am. I love it here, truly do."
Yea, I’m surprised Deion is so openly feeding into the speculation. It could send his players sprinting towards the transfer portal.Prime's full quote:

Let’s see what JD5 signs for ….I’m afraid.
