I think if they go back to the logo they pretty much have to use a name like Natives. Picking a particular tribe will irritate someone, picking Braves or Warriors will seem like a copycay copout, and so on. Hail to the Natives? Bleh?
Natives? ewww, no thanks, it connotates no strength or bravery or power, its just "we lived here". Braves, I don't care about the copycat aspect. It was the name of the football team way before the baseball team(s) took the moniker. The Jets, Giants, Cardinals, Panthers, Kings, and Rangers all manage to coexist using the same name, and there's no legal issues whatsoever as long as its a different sport and different city, different colors even. I could even do Warriors if it included the old logo and colors. Those are what I really want back more so than the name Redskins.
I almost don't give a shit at this point, except that I don't like Commanders. ;)
On this we agree completely. Cannot remove the entire stench of the Snyder Tragedy without changing the awful name his staff of morons selected. As long as there's a whiff of his influence, we'll never be completely free of him.

I can get behind this. There is no issue with logo that I can see or imagine.

I've come around for the name Commanders it is sort of in the middle and a bit bland and safe but the military theme aspects seem good for merch and the like.

I think the report I read on ESPN or another mainstream source said something similar: the team plans to bring it back in "limited" or "special circumstances" for now.

It very much sounded like -- you may start seeing it in certain contexts, but don't expect a sudden return of it as the main logo. Very much left the window open that it could be a longer-term option. (In my head, that says, "As soon as we can re-re-rename the franchise, we're going back to this logo and picking a name that works with it." Of course, in my head, beer can both taste great and be less filling, and I'm not getting older, I'm getting better.)

It also just means they'll be selling merchandise with the old logo but it won't be the main logo again

Personally I'm fine with it

Wanted the GMen to win to ruin the tank
Doesn't really matter -- they'll eff up the draft pick no matter where they land.

Join in the chant….you all know it! ;)
I can't wait for the Chiefs to lose in the first round of the playoffs this year. Maybe then we won't have to watch every one of their games -- all of which seem to be played at home -- in prime time.

They're as tired and predictable as an episode of Three's Company -- minus hot chicks with big bewbs. (Sorry. But true.)
