Didn’t Snyder/skins buy ES years ago? I seem to recall that going down. I signed up over there for the Bang cartoons, that and a couple people I was friends with also were there.

First Bang toon I saw was “Last call”, anyone who saw it knows the hilarity. Another classic, name escapes me, was the one parodying Gibbs/Brunell. He’s a suuuper smart guy!

Emmanuel Forbes reportedly shopped around.

The gift that keeps on giving.
Probably wrong opinion - Forbes has NFL level ability but not NFL level strength. If he can get the right coach in his ear who can convince him to hit the weight room hard, he can be a solid (not spectacular) NFL corner.

Jalen Ramsey is 6'1"
Denzel Ward is 5'11"
Marshon Lattimore is 6'0"
Forbes is 6'1"

The problem is those guys are all 190-200+. Forbes is generously listed at 180 (and is almost assuredly closer to 170 based on his 166 at the combine). As long as he's this slender, he's going to get consistently shredded by NFL wide receivers.

Having said that, terrible pick by Rivera. That's the type of guy you take a flyer on in the 2nd or 3rd round... not the second corner/DB off the board.

Bit of an overpayment and I don't like losing all those picks but they made a statement to win now with this move. Beefing up a known weakness too. I can get with this.

Those picks with our standings aren’t very valuable this season.
I think we are only down a 4th rounder this season.

I hope we kept the dolphins 3rd and traded our own.

The guy has played ONE game this year. Hamstring - easy chance he can't contribute much this year at all. He missed 7 games last year and 10 games the year before that. He's played all 16 games in a season twice in his 8 year career. This guy is a MASSIVE risk, and the price was high. Don't love this move, I think patience was the better approach.

This would have been a great move, 4 years ago.

Trust in AP

31.4M cap hit next year .. Saints converted salary to bonus each of the past 2 years, pushing the cap pain to future years and had to add void years ...

I assume we try and re-sign him to restructure things ..

Interesting to see how the FO manages this contract situation, im sure they have a plan

in AP we trust

Appears Wiki has the wrong game log info, he's played 7 games and missed two this year, but he was out the last game. When he has played, his stats don't show much, but I haven't watched to see if he's not being thrown at or if he's being thrown successfully at?

I believe the Saints eat that bonus hit and we're only on the hook for his salary over the next few years? I'll double check.
