It’s been such a traumatic last few weeks it’s almost easy to forget. It's a new coach, there will be tons of line combos

Didn't the dude gain a stupid amount of weight over his career? He's a pitcher so it's not really apples to apples and I don't really think it's that true anyway. It's would impact some things to some degree for sure but it also sounds like a fun excuse.Anyone else concerned with Voronkov’s transformation at age 24? I remember an interview with David Wells (a very good baseball pitcher who was notorious for not having the physique of a professional athlete) and he talked about how he knew his body and if it were to change then his mechanics would have to change and then it might subject his body to more injuries or it might impact his pitching. This is what I was reminded of when @VT started posting the workouts. If he were an 18 or 19 year old I wouldn’t think such a thing, but 24 is different.

And he got better as well.
Voronkov played 75 NHL games and 4 AHL games last year. He didn’t have great stamina, but he stayed healthy and put some pucks in the net. I am interested in how the new Voronkov holds up.
Does Lndstrom has the green light to participate in training camp?
Honest question. What changes your mind about Sillinger moving forward? What do you need to see? I want to look for this because, as we both know, you and I have very different positions on him. I'm not looking to debate with you, just want to know what success looks like to you when it comes to Sillinger.I recognize that it's been a near consensus that Fantilli and Sillinger should be at center. But it's really hard to square that with the results to date. There is a massive gap between Jenner and Voronkov on the one hand and Fantilli and Sillinger on the other, when it comes to xG and goals results. Draft pedigree is a bitch.
Can't afford to have any less hair as it likely affects his weight. He's obviously a weakling and I have to wonder about his cold cranking amps and intonation relative to A440.
other than for the obvious reason that he’s on the Jackets and I’d like to see all of our guys do well, it would be very nice if Sillinger broke out and put an end to the shit talking. I don’t know if he can do it, but I really hope so. Reminds me of when this board gave up on Matt Calvert and David Savard at early parts of their career, however I will admit both of them had far fewer games under their belt and were more unproven.

I’m not even saying your critiques are wrong. But my issue with them is they come across as “we should give up on him.” Rather than what should we do to help him. You say it’s not that, but that’s not how it comes across. At least to me.Shit talking I suppose is a rather large umbrella term then, since it seems to encompass every possible critique of a player, including in this case mentioning actual on-ice results, which I've linked to.
I was a Savard and Calvert defender so I'd like to be left out of that comparison.
And my issue isn't whether to give up on Sillinger, it's what do we do when he isn't performing? So far the answer is ignore it and keep him at center, which to me is giving up on the team.
I appreciate the response. Thank youI suppose lifting off of 44% xG would be nice. We're just much more likely to be stuck in our zone with Sillinger, it's been the same number three years in a row. If he changes it, that would be great, I'm more upset with how it's handled when he doesn't change it - so far the answer seems to be just keep playing him as 3C and his linemates (KJ, Chinakhov, etc...) get the short end of it.
I have a somewhat lower long term projection for him because of his bottom end skating and passing ability, but this isn't a long term discussion, it's about where he's at now. Putting him on the wing or the 4th line seems anathema to many, including the team management. So much so that solid centers with positive results like Jenner and Voronkov are getting put on the wing instead.
I would have Jenner and Voronkov at C, or playing together on a line rotating in at C.I recognize that it's been a near consensus that Fantilli and Sillinger should be at center. Not look like a chicken with its head cut off during transition, and/or arguably the majority of the rest of his time on the ice.Honest question.
