I suppose it makes sense from the perspective of it kind of forces the teams to keep a guy on the roster instead of bouncing him back and forth
I suppose so, but it also means another player will not be kept on the roster. And unlike all other players, a 3rd string QB is likely the only one that doesn't see the field from time to time while on the roster.

I don't know, it just strikes me as a weird thing to veto from the NFLPA. I assume they have their reasons.

It will make cuts more interesting.

PA doesn't want their QB3 to be yoyo'd up and down.

53 man roster, less 3 specialists is 50, thus 25 per each side of the ball.

O, Typically comes down to:
2/3 QBs
4/5 RBs (includes FB)
5/6 WR
3/4 TE
9/10 OL

Only keep 3 QBs on main roster if one is a kid that you are hoping to develop. Like Seattle isn't going to keep 3 QBs since Geno/Howell have starting experience and QB3 Walker isn't a young prospect.

Harrison Jr story takes turn

Since start of 2024 Harrison Jr has

- Refused to take part in combine and parts of NFL draft process
- Was I believe the last 1st round pick to sign
- Refused to sign deal that would allow his name/likeness used in video games, merchandise, etc (I believe only player to do that from entire draft class)

I'd say he might be getting bad advice, but then I'd risk Marvin Sr putting a cap in my ass, so I'll just say I hope everything works out for all parties involved

Jeez even Ian Rappaport is confused by Harrison Jr’s arguement and this guy is covering it closely.

“you signed the deal with my company, not me”
- Harrison Jr

He’s essentially arguing that he can set up multiple companies, sign contracts, funnel money from contracts to himself, but then blame the companies for not doing any of the terms of said contract.

Interesting that the two survivors here are guys who had picked QB’s at the top 10 than two years prior

Thompson to his credit had improved a fair amount as well. He'll be the Dolphins backup for the foreseeable future.

A bit off topic but I had no idea Zappe put up NUMBERS in college until I looked through the record books in the new CFB game. 62 TD and almost 6k yards is a single season even against mostly crappy compeition is bonkers.

At least with this draft we can say teams knew there were no good QBs. One guy drafted at #20 and then no others until day two. The scouts and GMs got this draft right.

Yeah everyone was down on that draft from a QB perspective. They were certainly correct.

Everything lined up for Ridder last year. 2nd year with the same HC/OC. Just didn't perform. You don't get many opportunities to show what you can do in the NFL as a mid round pick at QB.
GB just acquired the NFL's worst QB (now that Peterman got cut). I'm baffled by what NFL teams see sometimes. I'd take Ridder 10/10 times over Willis.

Green Bay likes the tools and think they have the toolbox. It never works, but they, more than any others, convinced themselves that making quarterbacks not play for years at a time is how they become better players.

In Willis case just being on NFL roster going forward is a W

NFL paycheck while holding clipboard while better QB's sit at home not holding that clipboard

didnt know Williams is 36 years old

San Francisco reporter is surprised he wants to be “paid-paid” when he’s been flirting with retirement

Says Williams is one of the big big spenders on the team multiple Ferrari’s, multiple roll, multiple Lamborghinis.

Trent Williams should’ve taken a course in finances, why pay a 36 year old left tackle a huge amounts of money. Albeit he’s an all pro tackle but 36? Niners have to take care of their younger players

He wasn't trying to speculate too much on another guys finances for a guy who's made $150 million
just said he has to arrive before all the players on game day do to get some sound bites and video from the parking lot

said williams drives a new half a million dollar car that has been customized or more almost every game.............Very very expensive lifestyle

says in comparison Mcaffrey and Warner have driven the same the same vehicles for the past 2 or 3 seasons.

No offense to Trent Williams but why the f*** you have a customize car that costs half a million? You are 36 years old, you don’t need an expensive ride at this stage in your life.

Does he have baby mama’s? Hope not, those are expensive too.

Trent is a 310 lb or so man. Is a sports car really comfortable for someone that size?

Take the Harrison's for all they are worth. What are they trying to prove?
