We are being bullied here. It looks like men vs boys at times. It's embarrassing. I didn't expect the offense to fail us. Lindgren has been solid. D has been good enough. Offense has been miserable. Czech guys are throwing them like a towel.

Last year it was Quinn. Now Hynes. Could this finally be the last time these guys are seen coaching USA Hockey. This was a another USA Hockey clinic at the Worlds.

USA are Leafs of Int'l Hockey. A lot of talented skill players that are good in isolation and can run up scores on bad teams to give off an impression that it'll all be great but against tougher teams they just aren't that hard to play against as a unit and they go ice cold. Hopefully it can be a bit better with best-on-best and they can guarantee a world-class goalie but hard to blame the guy there today when it's 1-0, lol

They have been so soft today. It's unreal. Unfortunately it is quite often these days that we are bullied out there. USA Hockey has become soft.

Obviously, I'm biased, but I don't see how you have Smith and Leonard, watch them play well together in the pre-tournament game, and then never play them together.

Nothing exmplifies this team more than when there was 12-something minutes left and some guy who is likely a no name Czech Extraliga Defenseman just casually shoved Gaudreau off the puck in their defensive zone and cleared the puck with ease, and the U.S. iced it.

I am 100% fine going back to kids, AHL guys, plugs and Ryan Lasch. At least the expectations will be nothing and whatever they do here is gravy.

Every year in USNTDP it's a bunch of small boys that can dazzle but know they'll need some Canadian guys on their line in pro hockey to forecheck for them. I guess the guys that fit that profile play Football in the U.S.
Hynes should never be a coach again, Zegras should never play for US again, Gaudreau is f***ing awful, this US team should be banished for playing like such crap against mediocre players

Now officially 7 gp, 0 g, 2 a. 1-4 in Quarterfinals playing Top Line what feels like every 'effin year. If USA picks this guy it shows they care more about participation ribbons than actually stepping up.
Yeah, if they want to say showing up to WC matters, it should be the case that showing up and WINNING is what matters. Not just coming around to finish 5th or 6th.

The problem is much bigger than the players who do or don't accept. Of course that doesn't help, but plenty of far, far less talented WC teams than ones we've sent have continually won this tournament.
There is a rot at the core of USAH that starts with the management staff and the coaching. They need to clean house and completely overhaul their approach to the senior national team. They should all be gone, and retread garbage coaches like Hynes and Quinn should never be contacted again.

Gaudreau isn't the best forechecker but tell me one US player who was in this game.
It's like the Czechs were like "we're going to make a wall and make you dump and chase" and the Americans were like "god dammit please don't make us play that way, we didn't fly over here to play like that". They had no timing on the dump ins, forwards not getting there on time.
