It is completely ridiculous that one team could have $10M+ more worth of talent on the ice just due to the timing of injuries.

the trick is you have to be so good that you pick late in the 1st round every year so you never have any "blue chip prospects" but also draft really well in later rounds so you're always backfilling your team with good players while trading your early picks for other good players and then cap shenanigans.
