Why would he regret that signing? He rewarded a player that has toiled in the minors improving himself, and been a good soldier through it all. That contract can be buried with no repercussions on our cap. We're thin on Cs with no help coming from Hartford. This is more about Goodrow being fetid dumpster water at C.

If we're going to end up with Wennberg anyway I really don't see the rush. We're not playing until Saturday for one thing....and it's not like this guy is top 6.....make Seattle wait so long that if they want more than a 4th it's a take it or leave it scenario. This business about multiple draft picks and prospects for him is stupid. He's a vet player and not IMO a particularly special one.
