I like our moves and I'm happy we didn't give up too much as Vegas and Florida went all in, we weren't in that kind of position so filling holes with good players gives us a chance without hurting the future. Get Mika going, get Kreider going, Trouba, Lindgren, Igor steals a series...who knows

Probably not going very far if you need your 1LW, 1C, 1LD, 2RD to get going…

Probably not going very far if you need your 1LW, 1C, 1LD, 2RD to get going…

That's kinda the point, you could add anyone you wanted, if those guys aren't playing well we're toast. On the flip side, if even Zib could get going that would be better than any deadline addition we could have made. I'm hopeful this break with some extra practice could help those guys

Agreed. The jury is still out but Drury drafting record seems to be better than the previous regime.

Maybe that's the actual strategy, put the onus back on them instead of telling them that you're going to constantly bring it to other people to help them be good and win

Not good

Corsi is pretty outdated. You can give up more shot attempts than you generate but significantly out chance the opposition which at the end of the day is more important.

Most of his minutes this year have come with Jenner and Gaudreau. He's better away from Jenner than Jenner is away from him (Jenner has a rep of being a 2 way center and he shouldn't. He's kind of been ass defensivley forever) while Gaudreau is better away from him and his numbers take a pretty big hit away from Gaudreau.

Collectively? They've been a pretty potent line offensively that doesn't play defense at all.

FWIW, he has a positive ratio of HDCF/CA ratio with out either of them (barely, but it is in the green.)

Jenner falls apart with out both of those guys.

I’d rather keep the powder dry for the summer and go get a real difference maker at that point

Zibanejad has to show a mean bone in his body and stop the soft spoken, pass happy to his BFF and start shooting puck. That's been his issue all year. He should be attacking the net too. Too soft. Adding Guentzel was never going to suddenly make Zibanejad do this or that. He needs to realize it himself. And, on another note, I am a bit surprised Davidson helped Drury out last minute.

Rangers aren't winning in the playoffs with a soft passive #1 center. Mika would be the type that would say sorry if he accidentally checked someone on the other team

Cause they didn't overpay. Fans get mad if they overpay, fans get mad if they make bargain trades for under the radar players. Fans are too hard to please. I guess you'd be happy with Kakko Othmann Berard and 1st for Vatrano and Silfverberg

really hope Othmann comes in to the lineup and shows us he's worthy of actually keeping because I'm starting to grow impatient with him. Needs to come in and just light the lamp like Stankoven is right now with the Stars, would be huge for us.
