I agree with this. I like Vatrano enough but to let him walk TWICE and then trade assets to get him back would be a really stupid move. If Drury does it twice he should be fired.

We signed Kotalik to a 3-year contract with a limited NTC. Halfway through the 1st season we traded him to Calgary even though Calgary was on his no-trade list. He chose to waive his NTC to complete the trade. We got Prust back in that deal, IIRC.

I don't think prust was for kotalik.. but what did we do to get him to waive? Scratch him or there was more to it?

Hes really a one dimensional player. Yes he can finish, but this team lacks 5on5, he would make them worse in that regard.

Of couse a big goal could change everything but we are talking about 4 rounds, 16 wins and against teams who are loading up.

The other thing is cost. Verbeek wants a 1st+. Hes signed for another year and they dont have to move him
