If Drury trades Kak, Gabe or Otter for Guentzel ... if we don't win a cup, Drury needs all his positions revoked and never GM again. And I don't think Guentzel gets us close to Vegas or Colorado atm.

I mean if we are even playing Vegas or Colorado we made it to the Cup Final. Its not the ultimate goal but its a huge success and theres not a chance in hell Drury would be fired if thats the final outcome

Agreed. I want a guy with term more than Guentzel, however, Guentzel is who is actually available at the moment. I also think if the Rangers add him he will be extended at some point. Whether thats a good idea is a different issue but its what I think will happen. I dont see him as a straight rental per se.

Watch Drury wait out Dubas and get him for a 1st, Sykora and Robertson. That's still theoretically on the table. Dubas isnt some shark.

I am not sure why you are obsessed with having so many right shots on a pp, it means nothing. In fact, having a left shot guy on the right wall gives you more shooting options. You make a pp to suit your best players you don't go looking for right handed guys to suit a pp. Tampa's pp does pretty well with Stamkos and Kucherov on each wall.
