You can tell that its an Olympic year.

Men Discus world record, 30+ year old record broken
Women Discus, longest throw in 35+ years

We are at East Germany level again......
and we all know how clean those athletes were.... lol

Colorado Rapids midfielder Djordje Mihailovic, FC Cincinnati defender Miles Robinson and Nashville defender Walker Zimmerman headline the 18-player roster for the United States men's Olympic team named on Monday by manager Marko Mitrović.

The men's Olympic soccer tournament is restricted to players under the age of 23, but does allow for three "overage" players. Mihailovic, Robinson, and Zimmerman will fill each of those spots. The remainder of the roster is comprised of players born on or after Jan. 1, 2001.

You have one "normal" person from the crowd or whatever compete so we can truly see the athletic difference and appreciate the achievement

Its like watching a plane fly in the air .. from the ground, 600 mph looks awfully slow and unimpressive

THIS will be a thing within the next 40 years imo ...
Yeah, no.

LeBron will be one of the flag bearers for the US.

James is the first men's basketball player to carry the flag for Team USA. Women's basketball players Sue Bird (2020) and Dawn Staley (2004) previously served in the honorary role. Paris is James' fourth Olympics. He won golds in 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London and a bronze in 2004 in Athens.

I'm not particularly a LeBron fan but this is 100% appropriate. He is one of the best ever, and one of the most famous athletes in the world. And his longevity is remarkable. No problem with this at all.

Absolutely ridiculous

I don't even hate on Lebron - I know he has a ton of haters and I'm not one of them. But giving an NBA player - any NBA player - that honor is stupid. He doesn't need the fame. Give it to an athlete who can really benefit from the extra fame instead.
