I mean... you posted about your bff Cross more than anyone.
I do love talking about him, it's true. I was just always impressed by how high some people thought of him compared to myself. I wrote him off almost immediately upon watching him after the draft, some of the worst skating I've ever seen in terms of projectability. Couldn't believe he was a 2nd-rounder. Meanwhile, several people told me he'd be a valuable regular in the Detroit lineup by this season. Just curious what the explanation is for his significant departure from that trajectory.

It does make it hard to show your support for a player in a poll when Lord Henkka decrees them unsuitable to be in said poll
You’ll have your shot soon. Once camp/preseason is complete and we have some data/info on the prospects, I’m going to start a thread where everyone can submit their personal rankings, in their entirety, and then I’ll combine them to generate a true consensus.

You’ll be able to skip over the lack of choices, and times where you vote for 2 prospects and then wait 5 weeks before voting for 3 prospects, and then dealing with side votes to decide between 2 prospects you could have sworn were already voted on. It’ll be cleaner, I promise

Yeah, been waiting to do this myself, but you can go ahead.

Was thinking everyone submit their top 10 ranked, and have like 12 points for number 1, 10pts for 2nd, 8 for 3rd and so on. A little more for those on top to create some separation. After that we can calculate the rankings

Yeah that's how I was intending to do it, though I hadn't settled on a point structure. I may just try it two or three different ways just to see what kind of differences appear, if any.

My personal default is to make it a straight 1-point progression for each ranking, but I know some people do like to weight the top differently.

Some players like that make it. Tyler Toffoli is one.

His IQ didn't translate up.

Same thing with D. James so far. Detroit drafted him after he won USHL rookie of the year in the 2nd.

So who should I add next? Hanas - ok. Cleveland? Bicker?

Suddenly we are very short of defencemen prospects, but maybe that's because our NHL core is starting to be "full" pretty soon.

No, it's because all the defensive prospects aged out while the poll was going on.

:)

Yeah, a lot have happened, like people voting those best ones to be high on the rank. Gibson was traded. And I haven't added these 2024 drafted guys yet. No one of the youngest ones (not voted yet) is not really shining anywhere.
