Ok so those 2 clowns are back. Do we trust them to sign BO and Vlad? If they can sign BO and Vlad. Move Bo to 3B then you can run figure out the middle infield with Cliement, Wagner, Jimminez. You need to get a power bat in LFand RF if you move Spring to DH and 4th outfielder.

Revamp the bullpen with guys throwing 100mph and maybe then you might have a chance to contend

1. Wagner - 2B
2. Bo - 3B
3. Vlad - 1B
4. new guy LF
5. new guy RF
6.Springer DH
7.Kirk - C
8.Varsho - CF
9. Clement/jimmez - SS
Bench - Horwitz - clement or Jimmnez - Lukes, backup catcher
Never want to see Springer leading off again.

1. Gausman
2. Berrios
3. Bassit
4. Francis
5. Rodgriguez
6. Manoah/Tiderman/depth guy

Closer - new closer
Setup - Green/Romano
lefty - little

Get rid of Barger, Scheinder, Berroa they are just AAAA type guys

Why are we moving Springer to DH? His bat barely plays as is at RF but at the very least he brings consistently average defence there.

Ennis and Bunkis made an amusing observation on their show this morning - if Shatkins were taking over the team just now, they'd start a rebuild in a microsecond, and curse the previous regime for leaving them such a shitty farm system.

Jim Bowden joined the show later and said if they were smart, they'd try to lock up Bo this offseason as the price will never be lower given the season he's just had. Once that's done, move him to 3rd base.

I find it hard to believe that Bo would even entertain a low ball offer this offseason. Especially given how consistent his numbers were from 2021-2023.

They aren't going to move Springer to DH when his bat barely plays in RF. They would play Horwitz at DH over Springer.

That's actually a very valid observation.

Moving Bo to 3rd? Good luck, he's so prone to air-mailing a throw from SS you gotta think it'd only get worse from further away.

I'd rather move him to second base but he might say he's not switching positions at ALL, which would put the Jays in a jam.

Atkins on offensive needs: "Power is low-hanging fruit to add. In today's game, you have to be cognizant of strikeouts when you do do that." Also says contact is "exceptionally important" in the playoffs, so "not as simple as plug in a power bat" unless they're versatile.

Four of the six division winners are in the top 10 for home runs hit in 2024.

The Jays are 26th.

Want to talk about playing the game today, Ross? Home runs are absolutely a central part of it.

Get this clown out of here, please.

Yeah what a moron. Teoscar Hernandez strikes out a lot. It would surely be nice to have his 33HR/99RBI here.

Do all that and they win the World Series tho.
Hyperbole, ya, but if the bullpen held up to its 2023 WAR, and you add the difference between regular Bo and what 2024 SS Jays put up and that’s somewhere between an 8 and 9 win swing, putting even this years incarnation of the team right in the wild card hunt.
That said, yes improvements are needed.
I’d call the off-season a success if they add one legit middle order bat and two high leverage arms.
Also, I think you’ve unlocked the best use for George. Except, id use Horwitz as primary DH vs RH pitching, and give George the other 40 starts there. Then let him spell all the OF spots, say 20 games at each.

I wouldn’t bet anything trying to predict what happens with Bo this off-season.

Hes a tough commitment given how his health has been recently, a tough trade for the same reason.

He’s got lil reason to sign LT with this most recent year on his resume.

Best bet might be add to the team, ride it out for the year, try to win and deal with it next year.
