Two quick ones for Columbus, including a shorty. 3-1.

The SH goal came when 2 guys attacked Boucher on the wall who just blindly threw the puck away. Pano Fimis got behind Yakemchuk and scored on a breakaway.

Real rough PP, D can't get back quick enough and CLB get a few chances in front on 2 seperate miscues

Brindley again doing what he wants, Fimis (an invite) having a great tournament for CLB with another goal

That line has just walked around the Sens all game, 3 goals this period

Beautiful rush goal on a 3-way passing play between Fimis, Brindley and Del Bel Belluz. Sens got in trouble when Ryder Boulton ran into the ref [lol].

I’d like to see Boucher simplify his game a lot.

Stop trying the fancy dekes. You’re not that guy pal. Maybe you can work it into your repertoire down the line.

For now concentrate on the physical play, going hard to the net and making life difficult on the opposition. We’ve got plenty of dipsey doodlers. Not many highly physical forecheckers.

Not many positives from this one, but not exactly a surprising outcome; they are severely, severely ouclassed.

Definitely no contracts or camp invites from the invited guys, they were all awful, goalies notwithstanding

Sens desperately need to add some skill and speed up front, it's astonishing the lack of dimension in the prospect pool

Really funny result to see after David Bell saying how important it was to win these games and not be a doormat anymore.
Yeah that was pretty good.

Wonder if we’d have even looked at a guy like Fimis for an invite, or if we just wanted a few 5 point 4th line/healthy scratch fellas that play the game with the truculence our scouts love.

I only popped in and viewed snippets here and there, but based on that limited viewing the only guys we have who even attempt to do anything creative with the puck are Halliday and Daoust.

and yakemchuk

no injuries!!!

yay

As far as big swedes on the backend go....nordberg is better than elliasson at the moment.

As far as boucher goes, he has a lot of work ahead of him.

As far as yakemchuk goes, skate, skate, skate till you can't skate anymore and he'll be good in a couple years.

Doubt it. He's not really their style of player.

Does seem like they needed a body last minute though - Jackson Stewart was not on the original roster that was released. When you look back at dev camp, Connor Lockhart is the only invite that didn't come back for the rookie games. Wonder if he dipped out on them on short notice? He ended up in Carolina's camp. Probably a better place for him, really.
