Bill Belichick and Tom Brady BOTH benefited from an almost perfect storm of events that began in 2001. By the way, Bill Belichick also benefited from having Lawrence Taylor on the Giants when he was the DC there. Let’s not forget that, either.

Good to see Craig James on the sideline for this SMU-Clemson game.

Patriots legend miss him on ESPN.

Jacksonville's win over Tennessee pushes the Patriots up to the #3 pick in the draft.
I keep saying this, but the pick is WORTHLESS unless the Patriots fix their personnel and scouting departments.

A bust with that third pick would set them way back. They’re too thin on talent to absorb a draft blunder in the first round.

Whom, pray tell, do you think the Patriots should target in this draft? Do you have a specific player in mind? If we’re gonna dive into draft talk, let’s dive in all the way.

I’ll start. I like Kelvin Banks from the Texas Longhorns.
Assuming the Pats pick 3rd and Vegas and NYG are ahead of them, Hunter may fall into their lap, which would be fantastic.
Will Johnson ( CB) would also be a good fit, our CB's would be set for the next 5 years.
McMillan is the number 1 WR we really could use.
Mason Graham is a absolute stud as a DL, can stuff the run and pass rush as well.

It sure looks that way. Have to think Vegas & NYG both going QB. Where do you play Hunter? WR or CB? Highly unlikely he can play both positions in the NFL.

I’d consider trading back a few spots if someone is hot up for Hunter.

I'm a little detached from the Pats this year but I still think the best play is to get a top three pick, find another team who will trade firsts/high seconds to jump up to get the QB or WR they want, get into the 5-7 range and take the best left tackle on the board.
