Not gonna lie I figured he'd get a qo just to retain his rights.
Hart is 25 with an Aug birthday. In his first pro year de played 18 games in the A and 31 in the nhl. I believe he was called up in mid Dec. so if he remained with the flyers from that point onwards he would have been in the nhl for half the season thus earning a year towards free agency. This would be year 7 coming up and he’d be ufa in 2025.

But really, no one is certain what the timeline will be for the trial, or if there might be a plea deal. Think all clubs if these 4 players were best to walk away.

Come on, Montreal sign Leason and/or Jones.

They're both better than a few forwards on the team already.
Jones has no offensive awarness, and brick hands.... but plays hard, has a bit of sandpaper in his game(agitator/ will fight and hit)... kinda been injury prone throughout his short career.

Leason was pretty good for us as a penalty killer.... skates well... but kinda a gentle giant... doesnt hit or fight really.... im hoping we bring leason back personally cause i liked him in our bottom 6 and on the PK.

Mix them together and you have a great bottom 6 player.

I want Leason to give him a chance on the 2nd line with Dach and Newhook.

Jones is for his hitting and agitation. See if the Habs can get an agitated instead of Gallagher who just targets goalies.

Still waiting on Florida and Nashville. Nashville I definitely don't see them qualifying all of Anderson-Dolan, Foudy, Alisson who all have arb rights

The Burgh
Pierre-Olivier Joseph is a bit surprising, no? Not like the Pens had to many young D's on the rosters.

Surprising? Yes. But only because it's surprising when Pens management does something that isn't stupid.

POJ's not remotely worth having unless you need someone who stands around in his own end just watching the play, with the same expression as a deer that's about to be hit by a semi. Good riddance.

Dubas damn well better know that getting somebody in here who can eat up some minutes as the #1 LD, play solid defense, and cover up for Kris Letang's disastrously-timed pinches, is the topmost thing on his to-do list.

The Pens need Brian Dumoulin back, but only after he goes through a time machine and gets about 6 years younger.

From what I've seen so far, Toronto Maple Leafs social media hasn't said anything about Lajoie and Petruzzelli being qualified, but there also isn't info that I could find saying that they weren't qualified. CapFriendly for example still has them as RFAs. The press release stuff even made a point to mention that Gregor wasn't given a qualifying offer.

I also googled if Petruzzelli or Lajoie had signed in Europe or some other league earlier in the offseason, but didn't find anything. Found a news article from 3 days ago that referred to Petruzzelli as a Marlies goalie (present tense) that was an RFA.
