Cleveland Monsters announce ECF Gms 1& 2 FROM Giant Center will be telecast on WUAB 43; I also suspect Monumental Sports would continue relevised broadcasts of the Bears games just as they have the last 2 rounds

Cleveland scores two goals in the last two minutes of regulation (one in a 6 on 4 situation) to force overtime in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Hershey. The game is tied at 4-4.

(This game is being televised locally in both south central Pennsylvania and in the Cleveland area, and also in the DC and Baltimore areas on the Monumental Sports Network (Hershey broadcast).)

For the second game in a row, Hershey wins in overtime over Cleveland in the Eastern Conference finals after the Monsters tied the game late in regulation. This time the Bears score with 6:06 remaining in the first overtime to post a 3-2 win. Hershey leads the series 2-0 as the series shifts to Cleveland. Milwaukee is 0-5 playing at CV between this year and last year. They need to score more goals!

Game 3 is at 7 pm CDT on Tuesday. Game 4 is 7 pm on Thursday. If there is a Game 5, it will be Saturday at 6 pm.

The Admirals need a sweep at home!

The Admirals gave up a goal in the first minute of Game 3. CV added 2 more in period 1. The Ads had screen shots and half open nets and could not get the puck on frame.

About a minute into period 2, CV scores again. That seemed to ignite the Milwaukee offense. They came up with two goals. After the first Admirals goal, CV started playing dirty and the refs let them get away with it.

The worst example was Egor Afanasyev waiting for the puck outside the CV blue line. A CV player comes up behind him and sort of jumps on his back, knocking him down to his knees. Then the Firebird reaches down with his right arm across Egor's neck and appeared to be choking him like it was pro wrestling!!! There was no call, but the Admirals fans sure saw it. Period 2 ended 4-2 CV.

Period 3 began with the CV captain slashing L'Heureux before the puck drop. There was no call. One of the refs skated over and said something and then zoomed back. The Ads hit a post early in period 3. They had 15 SOG but did not score. During the last 10 minutes, CV iced the puck several times when the Ads had pressure. They also did a lot of elbowing and face punching that was not called. That seemed to be their "defense". Grosenick was pulled with just under 3 minutes remaining and CV scored an ENG to make it 5-2.

The Ads need to get a better start. When the Ads checked CV a lot in period 2 and the first half of period 3, that stopped their high flying offense.

The refs need to call obvious penalties and not try to even things up. CV also took a few dives in periods 2 and 3, but the lack of calls worked in the Admirals favor as none of the fake penalties were called, just like many of the real ones.

It is win on Thursday or go golfing. I think the Admirals will come out fighting, either figuratively or literally, if there is a repeat of the dirty play by CV. In the first 2 minutes of the game, Driedger was poking Ads players in the back with his stick, even if they were a few feet outside of his crease. None of that was called.

Driedger leaves a lot of open net. He seems to play left of center a lot. Milwaukee needs quicker passing and shooting to hit those open spots, but CV has a lot of speed to fill the passing and shooting lanes.
