Don't we already have a solid young core of talented players? For how much longer does this team need to suck to start looking forward.

All that matters is getting in the playoff man. Thats where the real good hockey happens! I know high pick and shit I know. But playoffs hockey with the Habs is life.
 
The Dach injury really is unfortunate. If Roy is as legit as he looked tonight, we could have quite the lineup were everyone healthy.

Probably not happening this year but next year will be fun.
 
I'm starting to believe! Sorry fellow tankers and Toronto fans, but Montreal's coming for that wild card!

Still the time passed drunk eating wings and pizza with the homies or family watching Habs playoffs hockey are worth it even if we are getting destroyed. I never saw the cup in Montreal in my life, I don’t expect the cup anymore. Just seeing the Habs in the playoff, having a slimmer of hope and enjoying those high tension game (at least before the puck drop) is good stuff.

Maybe I became I casual fan that doesn’t see past the curent season and is to dumb to think about high pick anymore🤣

If Roy can stick and Newhook comes back that's a wash for Monahan. Losing Savard might sting a bit and losing a goaltender won't matter.

What's best now is to draft as high as possible and aim for the playoffs next season. And I think they'll have a decent shot at them in 2024-25.

All it took to have more believers was for the Habs to have their first back-to-back regular wins of the season. :cool:

We need more converts, here are the advantage of the habs making the playoffs:
- kicking the Leafs out of the playoffs and/or the Lighting/Wings (note that the Habs finish the season with a back-to-back against the Wings)
- seeing Slaf with his bleached haircut from when he was a u16 player
- get some playoff experience to the kids who were not there in 2021, I heard it was great for development
- probably be the youngest team to ever reach the playoffs, without any 1st pair dmen, no real center line after Suzuki and despite all the injuries
- maybe see Dach play again this season instead of waiting for next October

Habs should get a 1st round exist, which means they should pick like 16, which isn't that bad.

Id take this over where we're trending which is #12ish pick. For the sake of 4 lower spots, I'd like to see the Habs pull a St.Louis Blues like run, not because I expect them to win the SC, but anything outside picking 1-8 is a SNAFU.

Which one is it though: Tank or playoffs

Personally, I would love to sell all of our veteran assets at the TDL and with the remaining core of youth catch fire on a huge run..
 
Playing Primeau tonight is a complete lack of respect to the Fans and the rest of the team

Being only 4 points of a playoffs spot any normal coach would've played either one of Monty or Allen (more so following his game on monday).

Can't believe they went with Primeau

Primeau stole them a point the last time he played. The lack of respect is from fans toward Primeau.

No goalie was winning for them last night, the team didn't perform.

Clearly you missed the ole point of my post, you're not coming back with you're third goalie in that situation , Allen had just played a very good game monday.

Personaly i would've gone with Monty, nothing wrong with playing your number 1 on back to back from time to time.

Giving the net to Primeau yesterday was a stupid decision.
