I would rather have a top of the rotation top pitcher then Soto with where they are at

Red Sox and Blue Jays are there as AL East rivals willing to spend big money, and Mets as the crosstown rival. If you wanted to lean into the emotions of the Steinbrenners, those are the exact teams I'd pick. Yankees fans would throw a fit if Soto went to any of those teams.
