First of all. That wasn't Tim Daggett. John Roethlisberger. Big difference. Surprised you knew how to spell Sam's last name. Probably googled it just like you googled her routine to write this.

Second of all, she wasn't nearly as good as Rebeca Andrade. She downgraded her difficulty considerably and there was zero artistry. You can't just chuck your passes and expect to win.

Third, her toe hit the blue out of bounds mat on the spin into the corner going into her second tumbling pass hence the OOB neutral deduction. It wasn't her heel like everyone was speculating. Even if she had stayed in bounds, she was not catching Andrade or Biles period. If you think she would have, you need your eyes checked.

Thanks @Fenway, that was interesting. And interesting to reflect on how quickly things have continue to evolve in media and broadcasting since then. Both our countries get another chance to do it all again and hopefully raise the bar within the next 8 years.

4 years later Athens was not prepared for the change from analog to digital and HD. Frankly their organizing committee was broke and the IOC knew they had to take it over.
