Grissom is a much better 2B than SS defensively, which is his normal position. In 44 career games as a 2B, hes just shy of a .975 fielding percentage. As a SS, he is at .914. He has played many more games in the minors as a SS though.

I've been reading scouting reports on Grissom. Even outside of 2023 metrics GatorMike posted, hes known as a contact hitter who will not strike out a lot. His defense lacks but hitting should be average.

They basically swapped Giolito for Sale (which as a neutral, I think is an improvement) with minimal cost and got a really good future middle infielder. That rotation still needs a lot of work, but they've still got cards to play.
