Philly was a semi fluke this year. Many expected they'd fall off and not be a playoff contender or maybe a low WC. Their hot start, coupled with that awful Braves season allowed them to navigate their way to where they ended up but I would give the Braves the division again easily next year
What? Nobody expected that. The Braves getting hurt opened the door to win the division, but they were considered every bit the contender anybody else was.

They're a really old team. Many were saying the prior 2 deep runs were going to start wearing on them coupled with the fact the Mets/Nats were gonna be more competitive, only one of those really came to fruition though. Overall this was a transition year, outside of SD/LAD who are built to win seemingly forever, the other remaining teams have a great shot here, no guarantee any of them are gonna see the leagues this wide open again. You basically have 2 teams, NYM/SD with old school classic 3-4-5 rotation guys. Everyone is an Ace and then the pen

Well, some were saying it could happen, but they were definitely among the World Series favorites. Nobody knew what to do with the Padres, and very few thought the Mets would in the mix after subtracting at last years deadline.

New York
Dodgers fans will definitely be banging that drum if they lose tonight and expect the drum to get banged at even higher speeds if the Yankees lose to the Royals. Philly fans seem to be more content with rightfully blaming the team though.
It comes naturally.
