Poitras is too good to be sent down.

The ahl is also just as violent if not more violent. Lots of fringe tough guys in the ahl. Sending him to the ahl to prevent an injury doesn’t make any sense to me.

I think sending this kid down would be criminal.

Maybe he runs out of gas this year (he seemed to before getting hurt last year), and if he does then maybe you have to, but he was certainly one of the top 6 forwards on the team in preseason, and looks like he is ready to be that during the year (regardless of which line he plays on)

Just in.

What a nice day. Beautiful weather.

PASTA BABY !!!!!!!!!!! Shit on him all you want but he had (as he often does) the winning goal.

Poitras looked great. I hope he can stay un-hurt.

Lots of sloppy play today but with all of the new guys the chemistry will take a bit to get together.

Total disconnect between what is actually happening on the Kings goal and what is beings said in GDT.
The usual suspect calling out Carlo.
Lindholm out of position misses his check and lands on Sway taking him out of the play Trent late to the party leaving his man alone for the wide open shot .
Carlo's fault what a joke.

Bruins were down a man and running around at the end of the penalty time. Carlo blocks the shot and it unfortunately bounces right to Moore. Bad luck.

Thrilled with the win, not with the performance.

Swayman, E. Lindholm and Poitras really the only players that played well.

Love Poitras! A proper draft success, and it feels good!

Was terrified when the puck was creeping through the neutral zone along the boards in OT, but Lohrei was brilliant on that play.

Poitras has this unique ability to make some real odd angle passes.

Loved Zaddy’s battles with Jeannot.

I didn't say you would send him to Providence to prevent injury.

Hey, I love the guy. He's my binky.

At the beginning of last season, you will recall Poitras was in limbo between going back to junior and making the club because they couldn't send him to Providence.

I was working for the Watertown Best Buy (where I lived at the time) at Arsenal Yards mall.

There is a Sheraton hotel nearby.

This fresh faced kid walks in wearing a Guelph Storm hoodie, and I remarked that the Bruins have a rookie who played for Guelph Storm. I tried and failed to properly pronounce the name Poitras.

Hey grinned and said, "Yes, that's me."

I was flabbergasted.

I am small, and he wasn't much bigger. He was very gracious, and I told him how admirable his performance had been in camp. And to keep going.

He even took a selfie with me, which was the first time I've taken a selfie in my life.

I liked his game before I met him and remain impressed. My understanding is that he has bulked up a bit, putting on about eight pounds (of muscle, I assume).

Matt absolutely needs to learn how to play against bigger, stronger players looking to knock him into next week.

As important, he needs to use his elusiveness to dish the puck or simply get rid of it to avoid (late) hits, rather than hang on to it and attempt to make a play.

That's usually the case when he absorbs a hard hit, late or otherwise. Often, his head is down and he is entirely focused on the puck. That cannot continue.

Wherever he learns this skill makes little difference to me.

As long as he learns it.

Swayman back in the groove, the game against the habs he was as expected a bit rusty with no pre-season games. I tell ya one guy that has been good on PK and defensively is John Beecher. Lindholm, has been great at both ends, he has some Bergeron to his game. As for the PP, Pasta needs to play top of the circle, not the point, for the 2nd PP unit they are often on with 30-45 seconds left in the PP, I would have 2 D on that unit, when the penalty is over the other team could easily take advantage of a forward playing D.

Glad to see Sway earn his contract and totally close the book on that situation.

Poitras maybe best forward and excellent at the end. Pasta clinched it.

Carlo f***ing sucks and needs to be traded. I wanted to vomit in my beer when they played an interview with him about how special it was to score a goal in a series we lost right after he reproduced. Please use him to get a 25-30 winger for Matty on the second line. Marchand is washed up at this point and a bottom 6 energy guy we need a decent 2nd line winger desperately.

Glad I went in last minute to see buds and glad Swayman can set his sights on the Vezina.

Not as good as Patrice but yeah Lindholm is a similar player.

He was much better Thursday but today he was still in the right places. Very good get.

I know Zadorovs penalties have been killers but I thought they were horrendous calls. I guess when your that big your a target.

Marchand is coming off some procedures (3)so it will take him some time to hit his stride. He is 36 and not the player to get u 90 pts anymore but washed is a bit much.Show the man some respect he has earned that much from us.
