GDT: 2024 NHL Trade Deadline

Mack alluded to the loss of Dermy in a post game interview yesterday. Perhaps CMAc thinks he needs to get tougher for the playoffs, or at least have some options.

Again I think he's a good fit but I'd rather have a 4C, LD or goalie.

Yeah, good to have options, but a 3rd does feel steep. More to come though.

Keep in mind a 3rd in 2026 is basically the equivalent of a 5th in 2024.

I like the idea of the guy but a 3rd seems pricey for a 4th line puncher (though he does have 8 goals, 16 points so it looks like he can occasionally chip in)

Where are you seeing that? I only see 4 goals, 8 points.

I was thinking he should be an upgrade over Dermy, fighter who can skate and add some offense, but 4 goals..

Avs really need to go out and get Dowd. They need a reliable #4C that can win faceoffs in crucial moments - losing a key faceoff in OT could lose you a game or even a series in the playoffs.

Duhaime has never played center in the NHL. I don't think he's consistently played center since his sophomore year in college.

I like the player and I like the fit I just don't think it's a 3rd pick well spent considering it's the only position we didn't need help. Literally.

We needed a 4C and nore grit never hurts . We need it against Vegas
