Given his offensive talent and the records he has why didn't Eiserman go higher (in a very OK draft)?
His defensive play was not a jump up this year, maybe even slightly dropped. Goal a game guy. Best shooter in the draft and not close. Last year was in the running to be a top 3 guy if his defense improved, which it did not. But he can skate.

Remember when Lamoriello was going to trade the pick at the deadline? Then he was going to trade the pick at the draft? :sarcasm:

Oh you sure like to stick it to people. I wouldn't take some sort of a bizarro victory lap just yet. Remember how many games Raty played for the Isles?

As long as Lou is GM I'd say it's 50/50 Eiserman ever plays an entire season with the Isles.

Legit cannot believe you're serious about this.

Aside from the fact you're confidently saying that the Isles just drafted a Hall of Famer...Mike Bossy is #1 all time in terms of goals per game in NHL History.

Perif, NO ONE thought that of Bossy when he was drafted

Seriously, have you made ONE positive comment here in the last 3 months? You shit on everything.

Bossy went 15th in a smaller league. This kud outscored every single USNTDP player in history

Eiserman's weaknesses

Weaknesses

  • Defensive concerns: Eiserman’s attention to detail and defensive awareness are becoming a growing concern, with some scouts noting a lack of engagement and poor decision-making.
  • Lack of explosive skating: While he is quick, Eiserman’s skating is not explosive, which can make it difficult for him to create separation and maintain speed.
  • Passivity: Some scouts have noted that Eiserman can be too passive, relying on his natural talent rather than working hard to create opportunities.
Comparison Eiserman’s game is reminiscent of Phil Kessel, but this is a stylistic comparison only and not one based on skill and ability.

Skating being a weakness is a concern looking at Bellows and especially Wally

The Sportsnet guys were saying at the beginning of the year they had him as 2nd after Macklin but he dropped because of the defense. I’m with you. You can teach the scoring, same thing Al said about Bossy, but you can’t teach that one-timer…

Eiserman just has no torque...a player can be slow if he is quick. There are two kinds of fast...fast moving and fast skating...as long as you have one, you can do without the other...

Was watching the Sportsnet feel. Hosts seemed to feel isles got a steal at 20. They were comparing him to Owen Tippet, saying his shot is very good and need to figure out d.

Isles best trade chip is the 2025 1st.

Is there still a chance for those Jets?

Love the Eiserman pick. There will be comparisons here to Bellows and Wahlstrom for obvious reasons but Eiserman is a better skater than either. Let him develop in college for a year and hopefully bring him over.

We will see by tonight but this also confirms a suspicion of mine that Ehlers does not have 1st round value in a trade.
I think he still does, if I had to put money on it Winnipeg eithers want a top 4RD or a 1st for next year
