He’s not good enough to run an NHL PP. At least not a 1st unit and nowhere near Hutson level.
Is that's your definition of "0 offense" and "poor way to build a team"?

FTR Dickison has far better chances to become a first pairing defenseman in the NHL than Hutson and it's not close.

Well it takes an offensive defenceman to run a PP, yes. I didn’t think it was rocket science. Bouchard and Montour are still needed despite all the talent around them.

I think people need to realize that Dickinson is just Guhle. A fine player but I’m not trading Hutson because we draft him. They bring different elements

Club team. Olympic pond hockey doesn’t count. Unless you want to tell me Patrick Marleau is a key piece to a championship team

We wouldn't need any specialists with Dickinson and Reinbacher as the top pair. Then Guhle, Engstrom, Mailloux and Struble makes this a solid d core. Plus whoever comes from the KHL when they can.

2021-22 season? His 25 points season? In his D+2? That's funny as f***.

Is that the season you were talking about here?

Holy f*** man. You’re really bad at this. Do I really need to explain it to you?

Are you reading in braille and skipping lines? Notice how he played for Edmonton AND Prince Albert that season. 42 games. 40 points. Plus another 16 in 19 playoffs games. So really 56 points in 61 games.

No you don't.

You arbitrary took his PPG on his D+2 year over 17 games (!!!) then somehow claimed that he made 40 points in 42 games. So it's gotta be as good as Dickison's 70 pts in 68 games during his D year.

Absolutely ridiculous.
This has to be a troll. I honestly can’t believe someone can be this dense

You're probably right but they badly need some jam on their top 6. Slaf and occasionally Dach can't be the only ones stirring things up. If sennecke can translate his game to the NHL level, he'll probably be the best player of this draft but the way he plays is really hard to pull off in the NHL. Iginla game like Tkachuk is super translatable. Habs need to shoot for the highest floor with the 5th pick if demidov is off the board. They can't afford to flop on it

They can't afford to slap single it. Go out and overpay Debrusk if you're so worried about having a high floor guy. This is our last chance picking top 5. The ceiling has to come first here.

That’s what I was going to say; I swear I saw quotes of him saying that Demidov was Mtl bound like last week. So what changed? The nature of Lindstrom’s injury being revealed?

Lindstrom injury was already known and positive reports came out the combine. Back tracking off of what Pronman said is a way to expose you arent getting much info.

Pronman literally said that it was a herniated disc and that at the combine when they all got the reports and watched his upper body drills that they were all way more confident in him than before and he was getting top 4 hype.

That should be a positive story not a negative but people are fixating on what it was rather than what teams felt about it after seeing the medical reports and imagery.

If all those forwards are gone, you gotta go Buium. He’s a game breaker.

Parekh is a bigger game breaker and shoots right.

True but to his credit, he was bang on with Slaf and reinbacher

Those were basically locked in by those in the know earlier than us fans heard.

He also shifted his opinion 3 times on the 1st overall. He has some connections he doesn't have who is taking who where connections. Like he heard Sennecke was rising. That's legit. But he doesn't know who is taking who.

Dickinson's offensive potential is so much higher than Guhle IMO.

Its higher but neither runs a pp1 so it isn't that relevant.
