thats an interesting take!

I personally wouldn't move back and chance missing out on our "guy" to just get whats left over for only #30.. I'd want something higher ... But, I'm not a huge fan of the trade down idea in the first place.. if I were to trade down I'd be targeting mid 1st value / equivalent.

but im curious who you would target at #9 & #17?
#9 : Iginla or Catton or Eiserman
#17 : Sennecke or Hage but Yakemchuk would be a charm.

What are the needs for each teams ?

Sharks : Everything ?
Hawks : Top RHD (Levshunov)
Ducks : RHD (since they traded Drysdale) (Parekh)
Columbus : LHD (Dickinson) but i see them picking Lindstrom.
ARI : D (Buium or Saliyev) I see them picking Demidov
MTL : RW (Demidov or Catton)
OTT : Nothing .... ;-) a RHD i guess. (Yakemchuk)
Seattle: Top D for sure (Saliyev)
CGY : ? not sure.. Iginla is probably their target.
Sharks : C/RW/RD/LD
Hawks : RD/LW/RW
Ducks : RW/RD
Columbus : C
ARI : RD/C
MTL : C/LW/RW
OTT : RD/RW
Seattle: RD/LD/LW/RW
CGY : C/LD/RW

ARI as Cooley , Geekie' Doan, Hayton at center
Doan is playing RW and I don't consider Hayton or Geekie top 6 C material.

Wouldn't think twice about an upgrade, just like I wouldn't think twice about upgrading on Newhook/Dach.

Hughes once again doubles down on the forward with our pick.. they really don't want to add another high profile defenseman to the group when they need more offense in the pipeline.

We are getting a forward, whether we move up or down on the board.
I want a forward too, but let’s say he find a way to trade for a Zegras or anyone else we prefer without giving number 6 pick.

You go out with a dman like Parekh/Buium/Dickinson + Zegras…

It can be the perfect scenario

Many different scenarios could play out. We will know more when draft order is known. Majority of time some team jumps up.

Should we go with the Big C?

He had a back injury and missed alot of action, came back in the playoffs and was clearly not 100%,, wont go to the U18 either, so there are worries to have here, but our scouting staff will collect all the infos needed to make the proper decision. Personally I would be very happy with any of Lindstrom, Demidov, Helenius, we just cant go wrong IMO.

Not sure if any team will draft for need in the top 5 unless they're like Bergevin

Helenius is my favorite foward in the draft, I just love how he plays the game, but I was a huge Lindstrom fan too and still is. Demidov's talent level is insane. As for the defensemen, I would only consiere Silayev since I think he has monstrous upside.

I am watching Demidov now.

OMG.

We need to take him if available.

His skating, edgework, smarts, and pure creativity and skill is insaneeeeeeeeeeee

Looking like we're getting Demidov or Lindstrom fellas... even if we fall to #6 there's a really good chance one of them is left. I imagine three defencemen go in the top 5.

Both are big upside picks. Lindstrom sketches me out a bit with the back injury but the size and skill combo is tantalizing, imagine the Habs having three mammoths in the top 6? Doesn't seem real.
