You had Cristall top 5 last year. I wouldn't think you'd have him at 2I don't want Demidov at 2.

He straight up told teams not to take him. They could take like 4 guys in that 2-4 range I like. Demidov is one.People want to squint and see Michkov but even Michkov went 7th last year
He did ? Never heard anything about thatHe straight up told teams not to take him. They could take like 4 guys in that 2-4 range I like. Demidov is one.
Is it really shocking that the player most like Dylan Strome is the guy Musto fell in love with? You had Cristall top 5 last year. I wouldn't think you'd have him at 2

Talent, sure. Slow skater, not physical, useless defensively. A career loser.
I agree with what you said but no player has ever been drafted Top 3 out of the MHL. Its still a risk. A risk I would be willing to take.I know the MHL is weak but Demidov is absolutely crushing their playoffs right now. Far outpacing what Michkov was able to do last year when he played down for the playoffs. Not necessarily saying he's Michkov-level talent but he's doing everything you can ask from him this year. Can't really see what it is that some don't like about him other than his playing in a bad league, which is reflective of SKA's petty management and not his level of play
That’s what was stated on the article.also its my understanding his contract is only 1 more year.
Yeah fair point. My biggest fear with him is if he's left to stagnate again next year and what that could do to his development. But I agree it's worth the risk with what else will be on the board at 2-5.I agree with what you said but no player has ever been drafted Top 3 out of the MHL. Its still a risk. I hope to God his family stay away from swiming pools or he too could be forced into signing .Demidov is playing in the MHL because he wouldn't re-sign. I think he likely gets that treatment next year too and then comes over.

Why draft prospect Ivan Demidov could make sense for Blackhawks, Connor Bedard
The Blackhawks may look to add a definitive top-end forward with their first pick in the draft. Here's why Demidov could be a good fit.theathletic.com
“Demidov, like Bedard, is an elite skill player but his distinguishing characteristic in his compete,” Pronman said. “He’s a relentless worker who forechecks hard and creates at the net. He can be a player to get Bedard the puck and has a pass-first mentality.”
The sub 6'0" top 6 has never been done before in the history of hockey. SHORT KINGS!Kantserov Bedard Demidov
