The Hawks will get a heck of a pick at 34. Teams will take players who are not on the Hawks list and a player of value will drop. Thats basically a first-round pick. It is amazing to think the Hawks have two more first in next year's draft KD has done a great job of stockpiling picks in different drafts.

He straight up told teams not to take him. They could take like 4 guys in that 2-4 range I like. Demidov is one.
He did ? Never heard anything about that

Last year was such a loaded draft. The top 5 prospects can all be franchise player in Bedard, Carlson, Fantili, Smith and Michkov

I know the MHL is weak but Demidov is absolutely crushing their playoffs right now. Far outpacing what Michkov was able to do last year when he played down for the playoffs. Not necessarily saying he's Michkov-level talent but he's doing everything you can ask from him this year. Can't really see what it is that some don't like about him other than his playing in a bad league, which is reflective of SKA's petty management and not his level of play

I agree with what you said but no player has ever been drafted Top 3 out of the MHL. Its still a risk. A risk I would be willing to take.

“Demidov, like Bedard, is an elite skill player but his distinguishing characteristic in his compete,” Pronman said. “He’s a relentless worker who forechecks hard and creates at the net. He can be a player to get Bedard the puck and has a pass-first mentality.”

Yeah fair point. My biggest fear with him is if he's left to stagnate again next year and what that could do to his development. But I agree it's worth the risk with what else will be on the board at 2-5.

Demidov is playing in the MHL because he wouldn't re-sign. I think he likely gets that treatment next year too and then comes over.
I hope to God his family stay away from swiming pools or he too could be forced into signing .
