Are they at any point going to realize…it’s not working?
Worked with Brady, Ostapchuk, Kleven to name a few. Kastelic made it. Could work with Halliday, Jarventie and Andonovsky, Sogaard if you want to count him. Almost worked with Sokolov. (Those guys are all bigger than Boucher by the way who you would probably try to lump into your argument despite him not being all that big).

What big picks are you so unhappy about other than Roger and Carson Lattimer?

You're acting like big picks fail in spite of their size when the reality lots of guys are failing because the odds are against them in their draft position.

I think people would just complain no matter what around here because it's easier than offering up any productive analysis. If its not size it would be hockey iq, if not iq it would be game breaking talent, if they were small we'd say we need to draft big etc...

The 'we only draft for size and grit' narrative is a legacy of the 2020 draft but it's lazy and uninformed.

Drafting for size and grit is also not something that is unique to Ottawa. Every team values that, and the only teams I see consistently taking undersized skill players are basement teams. Maybe there's a correlation...
