Well I’ve said before that Yakemchuk has some of the highest upside if he hits.

Hes everything you want. Big, mean, can fight, right shot D and has a great shot and can produce offense.

Hopefully the IQ doesn’t hold him back

If Yakemchuk hits his potential there is a lot to like, I question his decision making and whether he can translate the offense, but he's a viable pick in the top 10.

I just really wanted Silayev, but hell we aren't the only team to pass on him. Same goes for Buium who I quite like

Colin white was considered ULTRA safe.

Yakemchuk is not that. He’s probably the highest risk player in this top 10 maybe even top 15. He may be a guy who legit can’t play in the NHL.

The entire fan base freaked out when we passed on Zadina. Let’s learn from that and see how this plays out. We didn’t Boucher this pick.

While we didn't "Boucher" the pick, the likes of Silayev, Buium, Dickinson and Parekh still being out there will make us hate this pick for the next decade.

To be fair, I don't think you could count on Yakemchuk being available if we moved back more than one or two spots.

I don't think that's a fair point. Dorion played goalie in Junior A, and he never could draft them.
