Well truth be told we are going to have a hell of a fun night in next years draft.... mind you with our management group who knows what stupid decisions will be made
that's a pretty lousy way of thinking. if the 2026 draft is better than this one, and by all accounts this is not a very strong draft, then how on earth is that a worse situation?Sweet merciful Christ, no. The 2026 20th overall pick is not in the same universe as 32 on the clock. You usually get about a round value discount per year of deferral.
Copy that. I don't follow the draft "rules" too much since the Flyers are never picking high enough for me to get excited over anybody. Hopefully Briere is planning to turn the Edmonton pick into a trade piece.Sweet merciful Christ, no. The 2026 20th overall pick is not in the same universe as 32 on the clock. If briere listens to the scouts next year, LOOK OUT!Ah yeah such a good record at assessing draft depth. Reeks of Flahr again.
As I've been saying for many years now, nothing will change because they have changed nothing. They have to fire everyone.
we do our own 3rd round pick.but no 4thSo we have one 2nd round pick and no 3rd ?
3 2nd round picks assuming CBJ keeps their 2nd in 2024 and we have a 3rd too.So we have one 2nd round pick and no 3rd ?

If history is to be believed then they have shown that they absolutely can with absolute precision.Arrogance in the shape of a hockey org. That has never changed and never will. They think they can predict the ~25th best player with a full year of hockey still to play.

It's kind of like "Hey lend me $100 today, and I'll pay you back in 2 years. Maybe I'll even pay you back $105 for your troubles."that's a pretty lousy way of thinking. if the 2026 draft is better than this one, and by all accounts this is not a very strong draft, then how on earth is that a worse situation?

Would you take that deal? You shouldn't.
