OT: 2024 NFL/NCAA/HS Football Thread

BOOO. I am sick of this KC team.

I will even root for the Eagles over KC at this point, and I am a Giants fan

/ducks as well

I can't get that far. I would have preferred to see Commanders-Bills for the title, so that someone would be guaranteed to end the futility.

But now that it's the Eagles, I'm pulling for whoever comes out of the AFC. Yes, even if that means needing to deal with more Taylor Swift oversaturation or Mahomes hype.

Swift is all good with me.

But Mahomes is beyond annoying

Holy the hell, the officiating again….

How the F is that a catch for the Chiefs when the Chiefs didn’t have possession before it hit the ground, and if it was possessed before hitting the ground, wouldn’t that be an interception?

And how the f*** was that a face mask earlier

My god
The call of catch ended benefitting Buffalo. They wouldn’t have gotten the ball because of the penalty. A first down 25 yards back would have allowed the Chiefs to run out the clock in the half and get it back at the start of the second. Because it ended up goal to go Buffalo was able to get the ball back and respond. So rather the Bills coming out of the sequence -3 or -7, they get to the half -1 because of the failed two pointer.

It was a dumb challenge.

It was a dumb call. The tip of the ball clearly hit the turf while possession was up for grabs. If they are saying possession occurred before the tip hit the turf then by default, should be Bills interception, and then play dead as chiefs touched him. You can’t have it both ways there, implying it wasn’t fully possessed by either team, then hit the turf, then fought out by the chiefs player. Ridiculous chain of events there.

It was either intercepted or no catch. Absolutely ridiculous call.

Whether it was an inception or incomplete would not have made a difference. There was a clear holding penalty on Hamlin that would have brought the play back. By ruling it a KC catch it ended up enabling Buffalo to get the ball back with enough time to drive and score and answer back. And now Buffalo is winning because of that.

Another ridiculous call. Allen got that, and the far side judge had it accurately

I get what you are saying. The implications of the game doesn’t take away the call. It was an awful call.

Oh wow, KC gets a favorable call in a big spot. Color me shocked.
I don't know if the refs want KC to threepeat but they sure as f*** want them in the Super Bowl with all the hype TravTay gets them.

Would also be nice if the Bills stop running that same god damn sneak the Chiefs are clearly onto, or didn't chase points absurdly early.

Not for the NFL, they love this shit - the Kelce Brothers with the Eagles involved, two more weeks of Taylor and Travis, the threepeat...they'll break all ratings records with the casual fan even as they royally piss off the actual NFL fans. And I was actually rooting for the Chiefs to threepeat earlier in the year before every f***ing game became refball.

Poor Josh Allen is like Stockton/Malone going up against Mahomes' Jordan.

Buffalo lost that game on the Josh Allen sneaks like 4-5 times where he was short and then called it again on the big 4th that was controversial. Why not do the play that they scored on with the double option with Cook?

You're missing what he's saying, it's actually better for Buffalo they called that. If they call the hold, Buffalo isn't touching the ball before half and the Chiefs probably get a FG, at the worst, maybe a TD with 15-20 seconds left after melting down the clock and Buffalo is down even more with Chiefs getting rock out of half. Buffalo went down and scored which actually helped them a ton and that call didn't matter.

That was a first down 99 of 100 times in games where KC isn't involved.

I mean as Jets fan, both of these teams consistently get some horse shit calls. I have no sympathy for Buffalo. 4 tries and you can't get one win against said team, it's on them at some point. Also the Eagles got a game changing call too on the AJ Brown catch on 4th down when Commanders were down 2 on a blatant Saquon hold that wasn't called, maybe the leagues's fans need to realize the refs are incompetent as a whole instead of some Chiefs conspiracy.

THIS!! Take the damn points and don’t chase them. It’s absolutely mind boggling how Macdernid ran the same damn play that wasn’t working on that 4th and 1. No surprise the refs called it KC’s way but don’t put yourself in that position in the first place. What’s with second string RBs getting carries late in game when Cook is your best offensive player outside of Allen?! You’d never see Henry, CMC or Jacobs out of the game in critical spots.

I thought Macdermid coached an absolutely awful game. I’m livid as I hate KC. I couldn’t care less about this Super Bowl because I also hate all things Philadelphia.

He doesn't call the offense, lol. He simply just tells the OC if they're going for it or not, Joe Brady calls Buffalo's offense.

Egregious to go back to the well on a play that wasn’t working. I couldn’t believe what I was watching. What’s wrong with a handoff to Cook in this spot?! KC had no answers for him. The dude had 20 TDs. Buffalo only has themselves to blame.

My bad. Then it’s the OC who is a brain dead lol
