I'd take a punt on Skinner, Stephenson or DeBrusk from what is left. Honestly Skinner is still a very good scorer, he just doesn't play any defence so you probably have to put him with Hischier.

I still think we needed bottom 6 players more than a top 6 player. Go get a couple good bottom 6 players and we are good, assuming Nashville isn't also going to scoop up Pesce.

I think Ullmark can make them competitive this year, but any help he could provide may have been negated the minute they decided to hire arguably the worst hear coach in the league a minute into the offseason when there were still many other options out there.

I don't think it's nearly that bad. Palat and Haula should be a decent start of a third line as long as they aren't smashed by age regression

They're both a year too long for my taste, but that's the free agent tax, so I can live with it.
