You would think the United States of America would have been prepared but dear lord...The awful pitches and now this gongshow in Miami.

For f*** sakes. You are hosting the World freaking Cup in 2 years.

Found in the Wikipedia page for the 2028 copa under potential hosts

    United States
Considering that the United States has greater infrastructure and greater purchasing power than each of the South American countries, it is expected to be confirmed as host in the next edition. According to the Brazilian newspaper O Globo, there would be a prior contract between the CONMEBOL and the United States Soccer Federation for the U.S. to host the tournament in 2024 and 2028.[4]

On TSN they are saying there is another 15 minute delay as per Argentinian announcers at the stadium

The scenes on Twitter are nuts. Does this game get pushed back to 9 or 10PM EST?

Doesn't seem to be strict segregation on the stands, lots of supporters from both teams in same stadium sections.

LOL. f***ing amateur hour by the organizers.

Was forced to change to Korean TV because Fox just airs ad after ad after ad instead of just airing information people need to know
Univision has been showing live shots of Colombian fans climbing over the fences and promptly getting tackled by security. This is more entertaining than the game

Would be a fitting farce to this tournament. The money isn’t worth it. Pull out of the US asap. They can attend matches in SA if they wish to participate but it’s clear they are unfit to host matches.
The tournament organization was awarded to CONMEBOL, that's the big mistake there.

The sensible decision would be postponing the match, as the stadium is going to be overrun and I don't want to see another Heysel, but then they risk a riot.
