Thanks to all that participated!

Future of the blueline, wing, and goaltender already looking fairly solid. Still not much down the middle. Pretty nice work from Conroy considering the state of the prospect pool this time last year.

Any final thoughts? Surprises? Players you think went too high or too low?

Stromgren sticks out like a sore thumb to me at 9. I think he should be in the mid to late 10s.

I think Poirier will rise a lot after this year. I already have him in my top 10

Well, I'm keeping an eye on the Flames Nation "Top 20 Prospect Countdown" they're doing right now. It'll be interesting to see how our votes line up with their top 20.

At 20 they have Yan Kuznetsov (19)
19: Cole Schwindt (23, which they would have had as unranked)
18 Kirill Zarubin (20)

Flames nations has done two more
Grushnikov at 17 (We voted him at 15), and included a nice story about how apparently after he had been scratched and traded, he stuck around that day because the Dallas AHL team had a game that night, so he watched it and thanked the whole team and the coaching staff for everything they had done for him (it was his first season in NA).
Lipinski was 16 (We had 21, which would have hit their Honorable Mentions).

Stromgren is more of a projection based on how he finished last season and what people expect this year. There could be a lot of movement between 4 to 14 this season based on how everyone does.

I mean sure it was a decent end. But he has a long way to go to even reach Spencer Foo levels.

Yeah I agree, I'm not completely sold on him yet but he was a bit of a project when we drafted him so I understand ranking him at 9 after he started finding his footing. It's still just a consensus ranking, I have a different opinion on quite a few of the players.

So far I'm more in line with their rankings.
They also have Klapka at 15 - we have at 18

Is it just Ryan Pike's rankings? The articles are by a few different writers. You would think they each had a say in ranking them.

Pretty sure it’s a vote. Multiple writers vote. 1st place gets 20 points. 20th place gets 1 vote. Points are tabulated.

I work at a printing company, and we just finished THN Yearbook. Can't really release the full rankings until the book hits the market, but it certainly seems like they aren't as high on Brzustewicz as we are.

I have no problem with Brzust being lower on outside rankings, he has alot to prove over the next couple years. Lets just hope he makes more people take notice by nextyear.

Cause people here are enamoured by his point totals. I also think he's ranked too high here. Canucks fans didn't give a f*** when he was traded.
