lol your homerism is top notch on every single topic. You get so aggravated anytime someone criticizes a Blues player.

People can have their own opinions and dislike depth players, it’s not gonna kill you.

You think I'm aggravated? More like eye rolling. It's silly that online fans act like some kind of experts and routinely tear down pro athletes because they don't live up to their own standards.

I guess what you call homerism I call being realistic. But yeah I guess I'm guilty of supporting the team more often than not. Maybe I'd be happier if I complained nonstop like some people around here.

Sorry that a depth player making a million dollars bothers you so much. You don't want good prospects playing on the fourth line, so who would he be blocking exactly? Guess everyone needs a whipping boy.

If someone performs well and steals his job great, but there's little harm to having him around for now.

It isn't so much as what he makes as I think other players will offer more. While he was 7th in hits last season - we can agree this wasn't a physical team. We have added players that will compete for his role and I think will be better and offer more in a true bottom 6.

I don't think you pencil him in as the PK based on our current roster and I would much rather see other players in his role.

That's fair. If someone else steps up and takes his spot then it's a good thing for the team.

Wow, Alexandrov with the PTO. Guess this is the team telling him to show us that he deserves to be here. No other interesting names in the group.

Gudelj also coming to camp. He was already invited to development camp and prospect camp. We already seem to have enough 'fillers' in the roster, so I wonder if there's something more and we're thinking of signing him. It doesn't happen very often, but it is allowed to sign undrafted players (who will be draft eligible for the next draft) untill the season starts. As a comparable: a couple of years ago the Coyotes signed, then, 18 year old undrafted Anson Thornton to an ELC.

I hope the 3d pair is POJ-Kessel

Suter should not get a single minute from Matt Kessel that is gross

Perunovich, oh cool ... more of this fragile, unproductive, one way, must-shelter defenseman drafted nearly a decade ago. His career potential is to be the fatal weak spot on an otherwise good team. That's if he hits it. I don't believe in his ability to reach it

Army apparently said today that we will sign him once we send prospect to juniors to free up 1 of 50 contract spots.

Haven't watched it yet, fwiw. Just saw quotes on twitter.
I watched it earlier. DA is preparing the fanbase to see Dvorsky sent to Springfield to start. Same thing he said only in more detail on the Cam and Strickland podcast. Sunny will miss camp and preseason games, but basically be ready to start the season. DA seems hopeful regarding Bolduc, but in both interviews he is emphasizing that he is viewed as a top 6 player and needs to earn that role. Just a few of the takes that I came away with.

Friendly reminder to anyone that attends camp, post as many updates as possible for us. Also I don’t have a Twitter account, so for those of you that do, post any info on line combos and whatnot that you come across on there as well.

I’m starved for any crumb of info at all. So ready for the season to start.

Maybe I've just missed it; but has anybody even seen a breakdown of the group rosters?

All I've seen is the training camp roster and the practice schedule. But no mention of who exactly is in group A, B or C.

Looks like Buch is playing Center, as has been reported all offseason. Army asked if Buch would play C and Buch said "Just give me your 2 best wingers"

Absolutely Buchy. Here is Kyrou and....um...you? Can you be your own wing?

Buchnevich is our best wing and 2nd best player when playing wing. When playing C he is not. This experiment needs to stop.

One interesting nugget from this morning: Armstrong and Stillman both feel this is a playoff team, which is a notably different expectation than last year. They were bang on with their expectations going into last year.

Armstrong gave an answer that was along the lines of "I have sets of independent expectations that necessitate playoffs".

Armstrong suggested we're in 'team building mode' a la 2010-2012, and alluded to his "vision" for this year, which he declined to share in detail, which is interesting to me. The messaging is way different than last year, and very different from years where we were clearly competing for the playoffs. He was very adamant last year that "this roster", "this group of players" is going to have to figure it out and compete. This year, he's much more cagey in how he's referring to the roster.

"Visions" are nearly synonymous with "best case scenarios" — I think there's clearly expectations he's put on himself/the team around how this roster will look coming out of camp vs. the one that (in his mind) will be going to the playoffs. That may mean adding and/or it may be expecting younger players to usurp veterans so that he can recoup picks and get a more final version of "the team" playing together.

I just find it noteworthy that he mentioned his 'secret vision' in such close proximity to how thin our draft is going to be this year/how easy it is to move vets vs young players.
