Canada can put together B teams that are better than most other countries A teams.

Yes but every player drafted around Yak who Staois said isn’t there is there at WJC camo now except for Yak - so just for your prospect play nice with HC so if there’s a decision to be made on injury call up maybe your GM doesn’t give a reason for Team Canada to think twice about who it’ll be.

Don't think it had much to do with Staios comments, Hockey Canada just has never been very high on Yakemchuk, Parekh's head coach is on the staff, and Parekh is already located in Ontario's region

Time and relation with the program always plays a part in hockey canada decisions.

He has never been a guy they've liked from his age group, especially compared to how he's viewed elsewhere, and his time with the program hasn't been very beneficial towards improving that

- He wasn't invited to the Hlinka summer camp roster with 14 other 05's invited
- He had a poor U18's nine months later
- He had a poor summer camp in August

He just seems to be on the outside looking in from his age group with respect to how he's viewed by Hockey Canada.

Seems like Akey was one of the guys consisdered close to a lock for that Right side, goes to show that we don't always have the best idea of what Hockey Canada may be thinking

Dickinson may not even make it, and may be in line for the 7th spot if he does. Schaefer is possibly their top D already

Wait, what... Dickenson might not make it? How does that make any sense?

Well, they have sat a total of 6 D between the 2 games. Molendyk, Myino and Schaefer all being lefties. Bonk, Gibson and Akey being the right side guys.

Can pretty safely assume they are considered the locks, at the bare minimu 5/6. That's generally how things go at the camp.

Looks like there are 4 guys competing for the last spot. Parekh, Dickinson, Allen and Price, they're the only guys to dress in both games. I'd think/hope Dickinson is the automatic there, but who knows. Hockey Canada have their process, and many times it's not popular among fans

I'll be surprised if Dickinson is cut. Parekh is probably getting cut I am guessing.
Molendyk and Mynio are in.. again guessing by them sitting today but they have seen a fair bit of them
I think they will take Shaefer who played today and sat yesterday. I don't know if we'll know who is 7th right away
