This link contains the dumbest thing I've ever read, like ever. God people are so insecure.
I'm happy to be 48 it means i'm gonna die sonner than later and wont have to endure the slow decent to madness and stupiduty social media brought onto us. At my age i can just start drinking and forget the whole world is burning around me. I had a field day couple of days ago reading the comments on youtube about the new Snow White movie. I was like don't they realise that facking interest in Snow White make them look stupid? When i was young Snow White was considered by pretty much all men and boys of my area as the most stupid **** even written.

Social media has turned intellectual/civil progression on it's ear to the point where we are regressing back to the knuckle dragging, superstitious, tribal primates that we had started to distance ourselves from. What has happened south of the border is also happening here as truth, civility, and the honest push towards collective altruism are being steamrolled by ideologies that belong in the past and have no place in the 21st century.

The only thing close lately is like Caufield. You can go back to Saku, but Jesus even that was 30 years ago now and he never hit PPG over 82 either.

To be fair to Koivu, his prime was spent in the DPE. His 02-03 adjusted season has him really close to ppg, at 79 points in 82 games. 06-07 has him at 76 in 81, for his second best.

Naturally, those are ajusted to a historical baseline (6 gpg iirc). His 02-03 season would be higher than ppg if ajusted for this season or last instead.

We shall see if Celebrini is in fact better...no one knows yet
Celebrini is on pace to have the best d+1 nhl rookie season since Mcdavid and he turned 18 in june. I like Demidov but as of right now Celebrini has proved why he was the unanimous #1 pick. Having said that i think Demidov is the clear #2 (nothing against Sennecke/Levshunov and Lindstrom).

Caufield's got a good shot at it this year.

I was curious.

Naslund (79) did it
Richer (84) did it once
In 87 we got two players who did it - for other teams - Leclair and Cassels

That's it.

And that's what happens when you don't draft top 5 for 30 years...

The very few but powerful media complaining about the Habs visiting SKA would have been against the super series before the fall of the Berlin wall. They are responsible for the current state of the world and do far more damage than memes and social media.

Koivu was in the scoring race until his first knee injury. He lost a step after that, and he was still good after but no longer a star.

Galchenyuk and KK were both drafted 3OA, Avs there have been players drafted lower in round 1 who have been PPG players. We’ve just sucked at drafting and development.

Judging from posts and tweets 99.99 % of NHL fans don’t think it’s an issue. Mixing sports and politics never works. Media should find something more important to focus on.

They came after almost thirty years of not drafting top five. Our only pick in that time was a one time lottery win and we got our only superstar since Roy in Carey Price.

Doug Wickenheiser should have been a superstar but Claude Ruel did everything he could to ruin him.
