When SKA played games with Michkov he likely told them to f*** off, over his dead body they’ll screw with him. Demidov seems a team first guy, taking shit with a smile. They sent Michkov to Sochi and cut ties early to focus on screwing Demidov.

You Hab fans view the situation through a Demidov-only vacuum, totally missing the big picture and history of Rotenberg’s seemingly non-sensical decisions.
Why is last year’s leading scorer receiving even less ice time than Demidov? Why is Rotenberg giving a run-down Plotnikov the most TOI? Why the hell is Galenyuk getting so much playing time? WTF is Rendulic doing on the team, taking up an import spot?
And all this lunacy is this season alone.
Demidov’s usage is nothing overly crazy for a Rotenberg team, yet Hab fans think its one giant anti-NHL conspiracy? Lol

Demidov is a HAB
They are falling into the same trap I fell into with the Michkov situation. We are trying to look at it logically, like why would a team or coach do something like this.
When in reality you can't look at it logically or it falls apart. Rotenburg is just an idiot who does idiotic things. Trying to understand it through the lens of sanity, you draw incorrect conclusions.

Literally every nonsensical decision he makes regarding Vanya Demidov can be matched by his crazy decisions for others as well. See my previous examples - Tolchinsky, Rendulic, the countless goalies passing through SKA.

This is a pattern with Rotenberg, Demidov isn’t unique. And Roma isnt dumb….he’s just an overcompensating dickhead who doubles down every time he’s ridiculed or questioned.

I can see this but I also don't care. Demidov is coming over soon and we need to get our own house in order -- he'll join a pathetic organization with a losing culture, a roster that doesn't give a shit, and bad coaching. Rotenberg is not our problem.

Does he burn the first year of his rookie contract if he play with us (at the end of season)?
Having him for 3 more years on a rookie deal is far better than him playing 2-3 games at the end of this season.
His contract in the KHL doesn't officially end until 31 May from what I understand

It’s a shame.
SKA’s facilities are no worse than many NHL teams’, they’ve great skill coaching, and their marketing is first rate for a Euro League team.
But their roster management is a tire fire at all levels. Plus they have the resources to bend KHL rules. And of course there’s Rotenberg.
It’s why they’re universally hated.
